Hi, Katie! Thanks for recommending the ginger brew! I think I could find several uses for it. I’m looking forward to the taste test video because you bought some things that sound intriguing. I hope you and your family are doing well!

The 19 crimes wines are so fun! They actually come to life-it’s so cool. Read how to on the bottle! I used it on the Dracula and Frankenstein bottles last year and can’t wait to try it on the new bride 🔩⚡️🦇

11:58 The boules are just pronounced ‘bool’ (rhymes with pool). The s at the end isn’t spoken (the last letters of most French words are silent - the context of the sentence should indicate if it’s singular or plural…). If a French word is supposed to be pronounced with the “ay” sound (like you said it), the e would have an accent over it, so would be spelled boulés. Boules is a popular game in France, using balls similar in size to this bread. The players throw their boule towards a smaller ball, and whoever gets it closest is the winner.

Awesome haul, The sourdough boules are amazing! They're going to make excellent bread bowls. I love spreading the TJ's garlic aoili on it with some arugula, dry spiced salami, and mozzarella! I also tried it with tuna salad and it was delicious. Can't go wrong with it. Love all diverse flavors you've chosen, too! Can't wait to see the taste test tomorrow!

I love 19 Crimes wine, and I love their labels. Did you know the labels are animated? There is a QR code on the back, scan it with your phone camera, it takes you to their site to bring the label to life. It's great fun! Last year it was Dracula & Frankie. Their other labels are animated also, telling the tale of the person on the label.

I was in the 🇺🇸 last week and was so excited to shop at TJs but I had a dry September. Now I’m going back October 2nd. I’m going straight to alcohol aisle for those smog cans and those 2 Halloween wines. Cheers 🍷

The roti was delicious. The veg curry was more low medium. Very good. I tried it as I love the hotness(hot!) of the green curry.

Thank you, good to know. I can’t have things that are too spicy. But this sounds like a good level of spice.

Saw the roti + curry at TJ’s last night and thought hard about it but… it’s 830 calories per box (which is 1 serving)!! 😮 I just had to pass. I did get the Triple Ginger Brew though - always hits the spot!

Roti should pronounce as (row-tea) it is Indian bread, kind of like flaky naan 🙂

Are you talking about Indian food or Thai roti? Speaking of Indian food, there’s a new frozen dish called eggplant baingan bharta in the frozen section. It’s vegetarian and goes great with naan. I haven’t seen you review it yet, but it’s really tasty! I think it was at Trader Joe’s about ten years ago. If you’ve tried it before, maybe you can see if it tastes the same now. Also, the pickle-flavored chips are super addictive! I can’t wait to have them with a sandwich; they’re even better than salt and vinegar chips!

It’s the way some wines are processed. I am not sure exactly but I believe fish gills are used somehow, maybe in the filtering.

Often egg whites are added in the filtering of red wines, it’s called “fining”
