A thriller/kind of horror with a spooky house that I read recently and loved is Let's Play Murder by Kesia Lupo. It's a murder mystery game set in VR where things begin to go wrong, adding to the spookiness. It's got perfect isolated thriller vibes and I thought it was great. It is marked as a horror on Goodreads but it was just a bit unnerving and not too scary which was perfect for me. I would recommend it a lot if you're looking for books with spooky/weird houses in them. Congrats on 50k! Books are beautiful to look at. So it’s fine to have them on read or unread in your shelves. There are 5 months left in the year so if you read 6 or 7 books per month you would put a nice dent in your physical TBR. You can do it. Btw you have some excellent books to read. Sword of Kaigen is so good. Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre soo good. So many waiting there for you. Have fun!

I highly recommend The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware for your next thriller/ spooky/ paranormal read. I read this a couple of years ago via audiobook (highly recommend this format) and I still think about it to this day!

Loved the summerween vibes and the mushroom 🍄ring you were wearing. I was in Home Goods and Michael’s today looking at the first few Halloween decor items they have. Cracker Barrel had quite the display last week. Congrats on 50K🎉!!! I’m like you with the endings of most thrillers. The ride is awesome til it’s over and then you get mad/feel cheated if you don’t get a reasonably satisfying solution 😂

I can't for the life of me listen to an audiobook if I have the physical copy😅 I have no idea where I picked that from .. LOL ... That's the sole reason I don't buy thriller books. Because most of the audiobooks of thrillers are so good. I think you'll like Daisy Darker or The Silent Patient, which are kind of thriller staples.. haha Loved your vlog as usual. Your video is the best I’ve seen in quite awhile. The esthetics are perfect. Love your beautiful room and bookshelves. I have a feeling it would be a cozy room to be in. Plus you know how to bake. loved Gone Girl!! One of my few fav thrillers, also always feel like the twists of most thrillers are so underwhelming. I also gave Episode 13 four stars - it falls into the subgenre of cosmic horror which typically books in that subgenre never have clear cut ending and it's usually hit or miss for me i also didn't like the ending of episode 13. Congrats on 50k Katie!!!!

You know I Know What You Did Last Summer is actually a book by Lois Duncan? If not totally check it out on your reading where see it’s very different but keeping the same stuff from it. As for me I still like the movie I know what you did last summer cause saw it back in when it was in theaters in October 97 at age 13 where it was my first rated R including Horror movie in the big screen ever. Was I terrified? Oh yes! Saw it at night. Lots of people were there seeing it and wow lots of screaming alright with jump scares. It was a blast. The movie was number one at box office for three weeks.
