When you're done with Jane Eyre, you have to read My Plain Jane which is a hilarious retelling of it with ghosts and Charlotte Bronte is a main character and it is so good! I've reread it multiple times and will probably reread it again this year.

Before you read the second book in the Nightborn duet, read Six Scorched Roses. Its a very quick read and you don’t necessarily need to read it to follow the store but TRUST me, it gives you a nice insight on two characters that are introduced on the second book

The Lost World by Doyle is a classic. Someone walked off with my copy. Along with Edgar Rice Burroughs' Caspak trilogy, Lost World inspired so many other books and films, including Jurassic Park.

I just finished A Natural History of Dragons a couple days ago and I agree it feels like a good four star cozy read series. Trying my best to not let length of books scary anymore so I bit the bullet and started A Court of Mist and Fury for August and want to read The Serpent and the Wings of Night for September since it is my birthday month. My tbr for August so far is A Court of Mist and Fury, The Tropic of Serpents, Beach Read, In An Absent Dream and Come Tumbling Down, The Naturals, What Lies in the Woods, Nettle & Bone, and to start at the end of the month Good Girl, Bad Blood, and As Good As Dead. My manga tbr is Flying Witch, Yona of the Dawn, Hi, I'm a Witch and My Crush Wants Me to Make a Love Potion, Accomplishments of the Duke's Daughter, My Happy Marriage, The King's Beast, and Solo Leveling. Hope you have a great reading month and glad to see that you got to hang out with the lovely Cassandra.

LOL your parabatai ceremony was so dramatic. I read Jane Eyre & Love, Theoretically this year. I liked Jane Eyre until she became a governess. I think I gave the book 2.5 stars. I really liked Love, Theoretically and gave it 4 stars. I didn't think it was as good as The Love Hypothesis or Love on the Brain.

Russian classics are so tricky! In addition to the general gravitas, you also have to consider the translator. All that to say, I read Anna Karenina last year after starting and giving up several times previously, and... it's not worth the effort, imo.

girl, i saw you pick up my favorite book and put back on the shelve, I BEG YOU: READ THIS IS HOW WE LOSE THE TIME WAR is a wonderful book narrated in letters - that are not written in paper, because it's a sci-fi, so we are talking about letter wrote in tree rings, bird feathers, seeds, etc... our two main characters are enemies, they both work to rewrite the history of the universe, in different planets, etc, BUT the work for rival agencies they time travel in different planets and they weave the history with their acts which was attributed to them by their respective agencies, what Red does, Blue has to undo, what Blue does makes the job harder to Red until... they fall in love until... they found out that someone is chasing them it's a wtw romance in a sci-fi world narrated in love letters and i promisse you you're gonna love it
