Hello, Got a question. What did you press to bring back the same weight after editing?
@HikerKatie Жыл бұрын
Hi, I don’t think I understand the question. What weight do you mean? How to take off bold? Control B works or use the tools in the sidebar?

Hi when I start typing in the box my letters become blurry when editing and the recognize text box gets a tick
@HikerKatie2 жыл бұрын
what box? an added text block? In a pre-existing text block where you are editing? If you used a funky font instead of standards, that could be it: Adobe doesn't recognize the font.

How do you select all text over multiple pages? CTR-A only selects text on one page
@HikerKatie2 жыл бұрын
If it is all in one text block, you can press Control A to select all. If the text is in multiple textblocks. you wil have to select each text block separately.

@@HikerKatie it’s a 280pg PDF so that’s not going to be so practical. Asp it appears that you can’t select items over different pages.

@@Seychelllian I select all the text in a document and change it all the time, except when the document has multiple text blocks. If someone used word and inserted text blocks or if someone converted a jpg to a pdf, then multiple text blocks can be selected. How are you attempting to select the text? Are you in edit mode? Are you using Acrobat and not Reader?
@Seychelllian2 жыл бұрын
@@HikerKatie I’m using Acrobat DC. I go into edit mode and then I press CTL-A but it will only select everything on one page. The text was converted from a kindle file. It is formatted in columns and each column on each page is a text block.

@@Seychelllian so the pdf wasn’t created with Acrobat?

Hello! Got a question. I had converted a word document to pdf using Adobe Acrobat DC. When I look at it in the PDF format the document itself has lost some of it's original format. Also I am seeing where the document has way to much space before a page break and am trying to edit that so I don't have partial pages. Can you help me resolve either/both issues? Your help will be greatly appreciated

It could be your fonts. Can you make sure you are using standard fonts in your Word doc? Like Arial, Times, etc. Avoid the “ c” fonts, like Calista, etc, that are Microsoft fonts as Adobe doesn’t support them. Let me know if that helps.
@HikerKatie2 жыл бұрын
Feel free to send me a link to your document and I can convert it to see what is going on. You could also try creating the pdf with Word. You can Save As and choose pdf from the drop down in the Filetype window toward the bottom of the window.

I AM HAVING AN ISSUE PLEASE HELP... looking everywhere... my document is clean digital text.. but the adobe recognition thinks every letter is something different and it wont edit right??? WHY ADOBE???
@HikerKatie3 жыл бұрын
Something must not be clean. You could try to use Microsoft Word to open it to see if you have better luck? How did you create the pdf? In Acrobat or another program?

Hello, whenever I try to edit a scannned document, Adobe Pro DC automatically changes my font to Z@R3F9D.temp. No matter what font I choose it defaults to a scribbled font titled font named Z@R3F9D.temp. I have changed my default in preferences but I still have the same problem. Do you have any suggestions on how I can fix this?
@HikerKatie2 жыл бұрын
I do have two suggestions: 1 go to Help menu and use the Repair Installation. Restart your computer so it gets rid of temp files. If this doesn’t fix it, uninstall Acrobat and reinstall, restart computer. I have heard this is a problem with Arial fonts mostly. Let me know if it works.

@@HikerKatie Thanks, I will try that and yes, it is happening with the Arial fonts. Thanks again and I hope that works,

Hello! Can you please tell me how I can hide frames when editing files?
@HikerKatie3 жыл бұрын
I think you mean the bounding boxes that show you what can be edited. The box with the handles appears when you are editing within a box. Otherwise, the boxes are light without the handles. These will disappear when you are finished editing. They are necessary when you are editing so you know what you can edit and can delete or move around. They can’t be hidden until you stop editing.

@@HikerKatie "They can’t be hidden until you stop editing" - you understood me correctly, what a pity that there is no way to hide them during editing

Click on the text block you want to remove by touching an outside edge. Once selected, hit the delete key.

Or if you just want to delete some of the words, watch the video.

What do you mean it won’t save correctly? Can you explain? Are the edits not there? Are the fonts wrong? What’s the issue?

It has nothing to do with offline/online. It’s software on the computer just like Word or Excel. You do not need Internet.
