We adopted a rescue pup last September. She LOVED looking into her stocking to see what St. Nick and then Santa Paws brought her. Our other dog crossed the rainbow bridge last July and she LOVED the holidays! When she saw her stocking, she checked it every day to see if there a present for her. Glad to know I'm not the only one who pampers her pooch.

I loved this video so much. You had me laughing so many times. I’m glad you were able to make progress with your new contract. Small steps are steps in the right direction. Boarding pay is huge. Everyone deserves to be paid for the entire time they work. I’m a retired elementary teacher, and though we were contracted for 7.5 hours a day pay, it just isn’t possible to work 7.5 hours with all the demands put on elementary classroom teachers. If you are down to 44°, you probably had a frost overnight. That will affect your plants. You will need to bring them in or put a sheet or such like over them during the night hours.

Put breathable covers(like old beach towels, material etc) on your plants when it’s cold outside. You can leave it on for a few days and it will be ok. I anchor them down to the pots with binder clips. Tip: You can pick up material or old sheets cheep at Goodwill, garage sales.

Kat, being the thrifty person you are, try and find if there are any gardeners or allotments near you, where you might be able to swap or purchase cuttings for new plants, for a fraction of the price, also farmers markets often sell plants. Plus if grown local they will be hardened to the local weather, of course very tender plants will have to go indoors or a greenhouse (heated if need be,) or if not to tender, just cover with old sheets or gardening fleece from the garden centre. Been watching for a long time and always enjoy your channel, I love how you and Chip love your dogs and foster. I keep hoping I might bump into you when I'm London, as I recognise the area you are in.

Don't feel bad about having a flair with arthritis. The weather in eastern NC is cooler and immobile feeling 100%. But I take medicine that causes me not to feel great but it's worse right now. And my arthritis bothers me some. But right now that is fine right now and my neuropathy is acting up.

If you get tired of the fake pastries another option is to buy croissants & coat them with Elmer's Glue mixed with a bit of water. Use about 3 coats & let it dry between coats. I also think that Christmas ornaments or fake plants would look great. I'm sorry to hear you are having a flare up with your arthritis.

The price of these boots were heavily discounted but I failed to see why anyone would need so many shoes. I'm on a downsizing path, I'm selling my house and going full nomad next year and all my belongings will have to fit in about 40 bins. That made me realize how much useless stuff we buy and have. I myself have over 30 pairs of shoes and boots, in all colors of the rainbow, all unique, but 90% of them I almost never wear. What's the point. You think you got 'deals" but in fact you would have saved more buying just one pair 😊but hey not trying to be a downer here... just my perspective atm 👍

Very important not to cover your garden plants, (or any plants), with plastic. If you don’t have old sheets, garden center sell a specific fabric for covering everything on frosty nights. Plus, it’s not expensive. 😊
