Also, is no one gonna talk about that scene where they finally escaped and Isabella kinda just.. gave up? I feel like Isabella was forced to be a mom in order to survive in that world, and I think she genuinely cares for the kids, it’s just that she’s forced to give them away soon to be eaten. And when she saw that the kids already escaped and that there’s nothing she can do about it anymore, she just stood there and smiled and did nothing about it. She tried escaping too when she was younger, so maybe when Emma and the others succeeded in escaping, Isabella maybe felt proud of them because they had more courage than her? Plus Ray (if I’m not mistaken) was Isabella’s child, so maybe when he and the kids got away, she was proud of him too for not giving up. Because I think Isabella already accepted her fate and she already acknowledged that there is no escape, yet when the kids actually did got away, maybe she felt like she wished she did the same thing when she was still younger? Idk if it’s only me, but that’s what I thought in that scene. I expected Isabella to go all psycho and desperate to get them back, but the way she just stood there and had that “oh well” smile on her face kinda made me think about it. I’m not really a person who watches anime, but I gotta say I really love this one.

TPN and it's manga really gave me a new love for horror when it comes to anime. it was something different from the 1 dimensional slashers that make up most of the genre in such an amazing way... it constantly drags you along with the characters, has you root for them and get attached. it then puts those characters through some horrible stuff, which in turn directly effects you as a viewer and plays on your own fears. each and every death or injury feels much realer than in most horrors because you have a chance to hope they will make it through. you have a chance to relate to a character, even if only briefly. yes even the short lived ones still hit hard because of things like shock factor and the amazing twists that fill this story. I have very high hopes for the rest of the adaptation and can't wait for the anime side of the community to enjoy what the manga side already has... or I should say suffer as we already have. enjoy every happy moment to come, because there aren't many; which is not a bad thing.

If you want an extended version of TPN first arc the you should try and read Shadows House, you might even find it better than TPN in terms of story and plot. Just don't expect it to have an action and gorey scene becuase it has little to none..

I did not expect this anime to be so beautifully crafted. It's not something I would usually watch. My friend and cousin begged me to watch it and I'm so glad I did. It's seriously a masterpiece. It's scary and tense in all the right ways. The story and characters are amazing too.

Everything about this show is BEAUTIFUL! When I say EVERYTHING I mean it, the music is GORGEOUS! The plot is almost even better! And the emotions that this masterpiece conveys is so strong, I mean (🚨SPOILER ALART🚨) when Emma’s leg is twisted by mother and she tells them that Norman is going to be shipped off, I almost cried (disclaimer: I don’t usually cry to any kind of fictional movie because I know it is not real) then when Norman is about to be sent off into the darkness and the children were saying their goodbyes, I DID cry, I mean to think that after all they had been though Norman would be out of the picture, honestly along with the part where we get flashbacks to Isabel’s past when they are escaping, it is like the saddest part of this anime. Not when we find out a 6 year old was murdered and sold to be eaten by demons,and not when sister Krone is tricked and murdered. I will not be revisiting this anime because it is just that emotional, like this is insane, I do HEAVILY recommend this to anyone who is emotionally stable enough to pull through. If you like this anime I also recommend Medoca Magic, once you get past the super cheery magical girl part you realize just how much sacrifice many of the characters make. Also you might need to wait about a month before watching one after the other
@amanda-rf1hv3 жыл бұрын
but the scene in episode 4 or 5 when norman is dreaming and he is in the gate, running with the other kids, is chilling. he ran saying "everyone, ill escape with everyone" and all the kids fall down, dead. the camera pans to a form of Emma, and it was revealed he has a little crush on her, and ngl it almost made me cry, this one scene is chefs kiss mwah mwah

Tbh this anime genuinely scared me throughout. I love it so much cause it doesn't rely on jumpscares and creepiness, but the idea of the situation they're stuck in with seemingly no way out.
@glazinglilly95893 жыл бұрын
so actually, the thing that scares me the most (related to the manga but there’s no spoilers so don’t freak out) is the factory farms stuff. where children are being kept in disgusting conditions, their clothes are never being changed and they just sit while they’re being fed non-stop. like those kids don’t have a name, they don’t know our language, they don’t know where they are, they don’t even know that they’re sitting, they don’t know that they will be eaten, they don’t know what they are, heck they know nothing and i really mean NOTHING. that thing- the fact that demons are so heartless and they don’t even give them names or tell them what world they are in- that is horrifying. that is the most unsettling thing about this whole manga, in my opinion.

I always give squirrels a wide range when I walk around them, so I feel 🤣 I'm late to the party on Promised Neverland, I didn't watch it until last month when a friend happened to have it on. Watching it with someone else while joking around, I very much missed some of the tension, so this convinced me I may need to give it another go solo to really take in everything I missed. And to witness that moment of defeat wit Norman again, that was one thing I caught for sure. Thanks for the insight!

I've always liked psychological horror more than spoopy jumpscare horror. heck I HATE spoopy jumpscare horror, but I like things like the promised neverland and ddlc for their anxiety-bringing not-what-it-seems kinda things because they are fun and build plot and (genuinely, this happened while I watched the promised neverland) cause me to roll on the floor out of emotion because the story has got me just *in it* like literally *in it*
