I watched the '' season 0 '' of Yu-Gi-Oh! 10 months ago and it was pretty good. Also, if you like racing animated shows, you might wanna give Dragon Booster a shot. I loved it as a kid and rewatched it 2 years ago and it is very good in my opinion.

My biggest problem with my hero is easily how fucking flat and 2d the world feels, we know so little about how the world actually works and everyone who isn’t a main character gets so little screen time I’m honestly trying to remember what I know is canon about side characters and what is fanon. There’s also the constant issue of them bringing in new character only to never have them do anything again (see Ms joke or basically the entirety of class 1-b) or them appearing again only to die (see midnight and stars and strips) Then there’s more minor issues like the fact quirks are supposed to be based on science and aren’t just magic despite most quirks not at all working scientifically, not gonna name every example but here’s the worst. Eri’s quirk (how is science supposed to explain sudo time travel?) aizawa’s quirk (there is literally nothing that could even remotely explain being able to disable people’s powers) new order (basically a beta version of reality manipulation, there is no way that this can be scientifically explained as not magic)

Truth always takes what is most important to those who try to bend the laws of nature (i.e. resurrecting the dead) too far. It took Edward's leg and forced him (a very headstrong, independent person) to rely on other people, literally and figuratively, to keep going. It took Alphonse's body so he could no longer feel warmth. Al is one of the kindest and most compassionate people in the entire series, yet he can no longer feel the warmth of a hug and spends his nights alone unable to sleep, further isolating and alienating him from humanity. Izumi Curtis tried to resurrect her child, so it took the very organs that would've enabled her to have another child. Mustang always had the ambition and vision to change Amestris for the better. He always had a path forward and took it, Truth takes his eyesight so he's forced to fumble around in the dark without a purpose or direction. Truth only punishes those who are arrogant enough to try to think they can play god.

See this video of Katara is one of the reasons why I think she should have ended up with Zuko not with aang in the end I mean don’t get me wrong I like aang a lot but aang never truly understood what katara was going through or really supported her about it he was just like oh come on suck it up it’s going to be okay whereas Zuko would’ve understood and gave katara advice on how to deal with it and control her emotions because Zuko literally went through the same thing! Plus I think katara and Zuko should’ve both been the fire lord that’s just my opinion

As for the why the last didn't consider the lower if the 9 trails. It's possible that the villagers didn't know the full extent of the nine tails power. They are shroudes in mystery so it's possible to think that the villages didn't know how strong the 9 tails was compared to the others. To them they were all the same. Also as far as the beasts, its possible to reason that the closer to the 10 tails a beast has, the stronger it would be. That's possibly why the 8 and 9 tails were so much stronger compared to the other tails, and could hold their own against the others.... What doesn't make much sense through is how the 9 and 10 tails, or even the leaf Shinobi put up a fight against the 10 tails, who was considered to possess infinite power. You could argue that Madara and Obito couldn't fully utilize the 10 tails power, so they were Fighting with a handicap, but that battle shouldn't have been close.

I think Suzaku wins by a hair regardless of geass. I don't think the command to live actually gave Suzaku a straight skill buff, it just forced him to always strive to live to the best of his abilities in a time where he was actively suicidal and chasing death. I don't think that if the incompetent black knight with the bandana (cannot remember his name) were given that command that he would suddenly become an elite pilot for instance, or that Kallen who was already determined in her convictions would see any real boost in her abilities if she were under the geass because then it would just be reinforcing a desire that Kallen already has to see the wars through so that her and her mother can live in peace. All the command to live really did for Suzaku was to free him of his inhibitions and moral stop gaps. It forces him at the lowest point of his life where he wants for nothing more than to not exist because all of his ambitions seem failures to instead fight to live to the fullest extent of his abilities, it drives him to commit atrocities such as nuking millions of others to live if necessary when again he'd rather die, that's why Lelouch' last words to him are a reinforcement of that that he is "cursed to live on" because doesn't force him to be the best it just forced him to always do his best to survive against all odds like he already did in the beginning of the series when he was so above the rank and file that he could actively choose not to kill his opponents on the regular because his whole purpose was to stop the killing, to be good enough that he doesn't have to kill.

I’m not saying it’s bad writing I just think the characters were complete dumbasses for taking schizle’s word as gospel
@ajbeasley2771
@ajbeasley2771 7 күн бұрын
I will give schizle props for his brilliant strategy but I got to give the knights some shit here of course zero wouldn’t tell them he’s a prince even if he hated bratania they wouldn’t have followed him if they knew in the beginning and even if he told them later they would have hated him for keeping it from them. Second of all even if the knights knew he had geass it’s an irrefutable fact zero hates bratania so even if he’s mind controlling them they have the same goal to some extent I will give props to them thinking that zero’s rage might not have the best of intentions and while it might backfire they could watch him and make sure he isn’t using his power to ruin everything because they don’t have to tell zero what schizle told them. Again I am not saying that these reasons are flawless but the knights should have actively put more thought into what schizle is telling them because even if what he’s saying is true they can take all of it as gospel because he’s literally one of the people that has been oppressing them for generations and gains the most from the knights betraying zero since he’s literally the guy responsible for all the knight’s victories. Also that old general they met with told the knights to trust zero and while yes you can say geass could have been used they’ve seen people who are effected by geass suddenly and weirdly change so they would have figured something was off if one of the generals who has been in hiding for years after his loss to get back at bratania and is such a legend the Japanese resistance worship the ground he walks on suddenly told them zero is his best buddy. However all that general said is he can be trusted btw sorry forgot the dude’s name he was introduced in the beginning of part one often hid behind a curtain was a Japanese general idk if that rings any bells

some things i never understood is the black knights thinking lelouch used his geass on them. if he had they wouldnt be able to defy him, and even with the argument of it depending on the order, lelouch has done unbelievable shit up to this point. do they REALLY think he fumbled so hard that his order was specific enough for them to be able to defy him? ESPECIALLY after they have just seen him take complete undefiable control of the britanian forces, they rly think he gave em the ol ''agree to fight with me'' rather than the ''obey all of zeros commands'' and they also already knew zero wasnt japanese and they were fine with dealing with that, but him being royalty with great reasons to hate the royal family is somehow not okay? and after having that conclusion they prefer someone else in the royal family via schneizel rather than the leader that has supported them so far and has goals alligning with them? they trust FUCKING SCHNEIZEL over him? fuck me, the show is damn near perfect but the black knights are dumb as a brick

The one thing I hate about Yang, and honestly LOGH as a whole, is the nakedly anti-religious 'theme' permeating the thing. Yang's personal critique is mixed up with his own self-contradictory nature, but given that the only religion named as such in the entire series is literally called "Terraism" that's pretty much defined by its actual terrorism, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that it wasn't just him. What frustrates me the most isn't even necessarily the 'theme' itself, it's the fact that it lacks LOGH's characteristic nuance. And this is while politics, especially "democratic republicanism", is more or less treated as a religion in and of itself! Let alone Reinhard being de-facto worshipped. Sorry for the rant but this is one of those things that we ought to recognize when it comes up. I'm a Muslim and I love LOGH, but even objectively there's a problem here.

The first movie I ever saw in a theater was Batman in 1989. I was just a little kid, but I remember it vividly, and still to this day I quote a lot of Jack Nicholson's lines, especially _"New and improved Joker products, with a new secret ingredient ... SMYLEX!!"_ I'm a huge fan of that movie, and especially Jack, so I'm obviously biased. That said, Heath Ledger's portrayal was on a whole other level though. Joaquin's performance was phenomenal too, but Christopher Nolan's version is what sets it apart imo. I can't see Heath playing Joaquin's role, nor can I see Joaquin playing his, so it's tough to compare the individual performances without considering the movie itself. And neither one of them could play Jack's Joker. Nobody could, it wouldn't be the same movie, and I think that's true for all three. I'm still taking Heath though, in what is not only the greatest performance in a comic book movie, but one of the greatest of any movie that's ever been made (I put Joe Pesci in Goodfellas, Robert De Niro in Raging Bull, and Daniel Day Lewis as both Bill the Butcher in Gangs of New York and Daniel Plainview in There Will Be Blood to round out my top 5).

At the beginning you wonder why Sorichiro spent so much time with Matsuda, at the end of the series theres no question why Soichiro saw greatness in him. Yes hes naive, but he has a strong sense of justice, and honor, Matsuda is the most loyal friend and subordinate one could ask for. Soichiro saw the greatness Matsuda would become. He has his faults, but he gives his whole heart into what he believes is right, and is extremely brave honestly the bravest of the whole task force. He knows he isnt the best detective in the force, but hes gonna make sure he does his part to bring evil to justice. Soichiro knew Matsuda had untapped potential and under the right guidance Matsuda would become a truly great detective, and he does yes he was wrong about Light, but when it came crunch time Matsuda was the one who saved Near he reacted first with his legendary crackshot.

Lelouch morality with geass can be framed by some of the first, and last words he's ever monologued "the only ones who should kill are those prepared to be killed" he's a fascinating paradox of a man who is a champion of free will who also has a power that completely usurps and disproves the concept of free will with it's very existence which puts him into some very interesting conundrums. He was fine with manipulating Euphye when he thought she was just another of his royal siblings playing politics, she was part of the game, another prince/princess vying for personal power up until he learns she gave up all prospects of further power in order to establish her autonomous zone partially for his sake, he surrenders to her because his morality can no longer justify manipulating her, the same screwed morality that lets him command 3 dozen people to off themselves without skipping a beat because they were soldiers, they chose to live by the sword so they can die by it, that's how he justified himself up until Euphemia's massacre. Then post massacre he slowly came to let go of his morality and accept that the truth was his crimes were so great, so outside of the realm of the human experience that they cannot be justified, that even if he wins he'd still be apart of the magical god king system that his father set up, that his rebellion was ultimately just trading one oppression for another and that he was too separated from humanity to actually succeed in the first place and began instead trying to atone through martyrdom and instead chooses to embrace his paradoxical role as one who actively robs others of their free will in order to champion the concept of free will and tear down all the restrictions that the powerful would place upon others. People like to hyper criticize Suzaku for adapting his ideals after the geass forces him to contradict them at the cost of thousands of lives but Lelouch is corrupted just as much if not moreso but tends to get a pass.
@KatoBeyond

Great comment! I think Lelouch and Suzaku both learned from one another. Suzaku just had to change more than Lelouch did. In Stage 5, we see that Lelouch had already thought further ahead than Suzaku so I consider this consistent
