Firstly, It's usually about the crowd, there are certain events that offer prizes to the spinners, but majority of the time, It's about who the crowd liked the most. So they would get all the spinners at the end, and the crowd would cheer for the one they loved the most. Now to answer your questions. The cars are usually modified to have a steering wheel lock and pad lock so that the driver can get the car exactly where he/she wants it, lock it, and get out and have fun. That's how the car keeps spinning without anyone inside it. A rule that a lot of spinners have in informal "competitions" is that you're not allowed to stop spinning the car until a tire pops. So, they would have to get new tires very often

They lock the steering wheel then turn on a swich of the dictator which limits the gas of the car and that way the car is not able to move any other way but in the direction which the driver locks the steering wheel....The cars aren't really damaged though😂, they remove parts of the cars to decrease the weight and make the car lite 😂and also thats just how the spin cars are "supposed to look like"😂

It's called Throttle jamming. It jams the throttle on the accelerator through a switch or cable. It jams the pedal at a certain Rev and BMWs have cruise control from way back so the steering is locked in that particular position. You flip the throttle jam and steering lock and it stays revving and turned to one direction so it spins by itself... There is actually a video of this same session where the camera is inside. Ayyy yo there’s actually a cable connected to the engine bay, normally cars accelerate from the engine bay so that cable is connected to the engine bay and everytime he jumps out the car he pulls that cable then it accelerates from the engine bay. Same thing with the steering wheel but then for the steering wheel there’s a hook to keep it stable.
