That relationship was hell on earth for her, she wasn’t happy because she was only focused on dragging him to the mandap and get that mangalsutra. She was always anxious because one, Ranbir’s parents tolerated her as a girlfriend and that was were it stopped, she wanted to marry him but he didn’t want to and his parents went to town and dissed her at every given opportunity. Two, she was shacking up with a man who has a reputation of being a Casanova, he cheated with her her against Deepika, what is the guarantee that he will not do the same to her. Jaga Jasoos their movie, looked like it was never going to be finished and it eventually flopped woefully at the box office, amidst all that anxiety and uncertainty she jumped into the sack with Hrithik but after their movie Bang Bang finished shooting he royally ghosted her and that spelt the end of her relationship with Ranbir. After all that drama, she went on a speaking spree and went into motivational speaker mode. I found it very amusing and it was a very humbling time for her because she realized that she was almost 40, not as popular as she was back in the day, not looking her best and with all that money. She had to eat humble pie and settle for what she could lay her hands on, that is what was available and not what was preferred. Left with her, she would have loved to be the bahu of a powerful Bollywood khandan like the Kapoors whom she had targeted. She craved the financial stability and respect that Aish, Rani, Kajol and Kareena enjoyed because of the family they married into, such feat is actually easier imagined than achieved. At least with her money she was able to attract a hungry upcoming actor, who is chasing fame and money and reeled him in. Now he is happy living in her house rent free and gets to go on all those exotic trips abroad on her expense.
