As of 2.0.4: 20% chance Katrina gives you a zodiac figurine instead of normal purification gift. Thanks to Mamoru Chiba and George Wilkins for adding that you cannot get purified by Katrina if you don't have at least 10,000 bells on you after spending 1k on the fortune. I definitely recommend carrying enough Bells to pay Katrina to do a purification ceremony if she gives you a bad fortune. This with basically give you neutral luck, which is always better than bad luck.

Hi, just an animal crossing tip that I haven't seen people talk about. The keyboards on Animal Crossing are touchscreen. If you are trying to type something in, for example, the name of a custom design, you can just touch each letter, and it will work. It's really convenient and not many people seem to know this. Maybe you could put this in a video?

Belongings is definitely the best fortune to get. It’s so op. Your tools will be invincible for an *entire* day and your chance of getting a rare kappn island is increased substantially

Note- if you have the good money Fortune, and you go to Kappa’s island. There is a chance to have all the fruit trees as money trees. (It just happened to me and no my game is not modded either.)

Thanks for the video. I've honestly been avoiding Katrina because I wasn't really sure how she worked (and also my _normal_ routine has Harv's Island at the end of it, but I can change that). As an aside, I had planned to visit Harv's island everyday so I could buy something from Redd, whether fake or real, just so it gets rerolled every day instead of just once a week, but in the end I decided it's not really worth the money, so I only buy fakes if I don't have them in my catalog yet. I'm still planning to play the game for a good while so I'm in no rush to cmplete the museum (although I am really close and could just trade the doubles of real paintings that I've accumulated online, I suppose)

I can confirm that it affects Kapp'n islands too, in fact one time with good money luck I got 2 money rocks in one day (one on a Kapp'n island, and the one on my main island)

If anyone is reading this: you can restart your game before Katrina finishes the reading, and the luck changes each time. I like the Belongings blessing most, so if i see the crystal glowing red, yellow or geeen i restart immediately and keep trying til I get what I want

Increased chances to get your island's daily gold nugget *_and_* doubled profits from money rocks? Great boon! 3. Good Friendship Luck. It's nothing too extravagant, but every little bit helps, I suppose. 4. Bad Luck (Any). If you want to get the Katrina-exclusive items and Lunar New Year figurines registered in your catalog, bad luck is actually quite fortunate. Otherwise, well, purification doesn't exactly cost an insignificant sum... 5. Good Health Luck. You get double energy from food, which is usually overkill and ends up being more of a hindrance than a boon, as, if you have excess energy, you need to either use a toilet or find a way to waste the energy, like by picking up a tree (and then putting it right back down), lest you end up breaking a rock you didn't mean to. And you can't even purify it because it counts as good luck! So annoying!

I really like Katrina this time around as a naturally unlucky person I HATED the luck mechanic in new leaf constantly tripping was fun the first time around but soon got really annoying, it got so annoying that I never ran in new leaf. I've never used Katrina's fortune service simply because I don't like the gamble-y aspect of it, but knowing purification is the only way to get lucky items, and I *really* want to eventually have at least one version of every item in my catalog, I might have to start actually talking to her when I visit Harv's island and hoping for bad luck solely for the purpose of getting those purification lucky items.

When you get good luck with money I take advantage of burying 99,000 bells in a glowing hole that day. It produces 3 times that amount once fully grown without fail. I've done this several times now. If you're skeptical try something a little higher than 10,000 just to see for yourself. Hope this helps!
