1 for "hey you did a new thing, lets inform you a bit" 30 for the actual attempt (or could be something like maybe you did 10, found you got 10 stars and they want you to do 20 more to reach for your cap something like that) 200 is just something to pick up after it's done multiple times. Animal crossing is about "taking it easy and enjoying it over several days" which is contrary to most games in a way so it makes sense most milestones might have a significant jump

For all you reading the comments out there: I have gotten 40 fragments on my island if I wish over 40 times. The key is collecting all 20 off the beach. Then exit the game, reload it and there should be up to 20 more. Sometimes you need to go into a building for the full 20 to spawn, but I’ve found this method works. I had JUST ME on the island, got 40 total fragments. Not sure if you can go higher. Hope this helps!

It took me a while to notice, but the Zodiac fragments are color coded based on the birthstone of the month they're mostly associated with. So for example, Taurus -> May -> emerald, and Leo -> August -> peridot. I think that's a nice touch. :)

In my experience with ACNH(about a month of playtime) when a star formation(constellation) is visible in the night sky, you'll get a zodiac shard for that month. I've only had 2 meteor showers, both small but the constellation appeared on my first meteor shower and I got a Cancer zodiac shard and 17 star shards. The constellation that appeared was the big dipper btw

If you wish with your character, then they should only appear when you are playing. I have 4 characters on my island (all me) and when one wishes, the fragments won't appear when I'm logged into one of the other characters. I've had days where I didn't log onto the wish character until the evening of the next day, and the stars didn't appear until I was using them.

definitely have had more than 20 fragments (normal, large and zodiac) but i can't say for certain if i've had more because of friends visiting and wishing upon stars. though they usually don't stay for 100 wishes, unless it adds each friend's together? but i do know i sometimes get over 30 fragments total over the day (as they respawn on the beach so i comb the beaches several times throughout the day). next time i'll take more notice to it. i had a shower earlier this week and will likely get celeste another day so if i can play then i will try and see if i get more than 20 fragments alone.

Quick tip! If you have Nintendo switch online/visit friend’s islands alot, you can go on AC discord servers to find people with meteor showers/Celeste and stop by to get some fragments or a DIY. A lot of people will let you visit for free/around 10K bells and I did this for a few weeks straight to get all the Celeste DIYs

I've been wishing on a lot of stars in many showers until now, and I can confirm I have never gotten more than 20 fragments the next day, although I'm sure that on most days I've wished on more than 20 stars. So this really seems to be either a hard cap or a very low chance of bypassing.

@@koramora It took me three attempts, but I got it with 3 consecutive days of weather (5-6 consecutive hours each), and 1 light meteor shower with 7 star times. Didn't bother with the seconds, just got it to narrow down to a few possible seeds, then checked each one for the next shooting star until I found a match.

I time travel, and what i do is when i find a day with shooting stars i just go back to the time just before the time where the most stars fall and keep doing that (ex: on Dec. 23 at around 11:23, 5 stars would fall in a row, and it would end at 11:26. I just keep going back to 11:23, wishing on the stars, and then going to the next day. Its pretty effective, i was able to get 20+ small fragments, 3 large, and 8 zodiacs.) If you need a strategy for quick farming, hopefully this helps :D

Recently, I wished on shooting stars all night using my controller's turbo button, and the most stars I collected were 35 stars (I checked the beaches three times throughout the next day). I think it's easier to wish on stars for a handful of hours and collect the resulting stars on the beach throughout the day and do it on a week that has multiple shooting stars using MeteoNook website.

Great video, by the way, as I now know to stop wishing upon a star all the time for the Astrology fragments to build my furniture as they only come on certain weeks of the year.

MeteoNook is a pain, I can't find my seed and I have confirmed all my data is correct. Update: I think I found my seed (235911023), it seems to match all of my screenshots :) Most of my screenshots were taken after the X:30 mark therefore making them unreliable.

I wished on a star for the first time the other day and wished on maybe just over ten. My mom also played and wished on over 50. When she played the next day, she found nine fragments on the beach and was really upset. I played right after her and got just over ten. Two helpful things to note as of at least 1.8: 1. Your beach will replenish 16 shells and 10 star fragments in 30 minutes, so you dont need to wait a whole hour. 2. Each profile on your switch that has a house can get their own 20 wishes 20 fragments. You have to log into each profile to do so, but if you want a stupid amount of zodiac or large fragments and you dont time travel much or at all, thats a good way to farm them.

*use a turbo controller* I used my turbo controller and just looked up at the skies and wished upon 200+ stars. Aw man, I feel for you, I wished on 200 + star fragments on a friend's island last night over about two hours. I know this because I completed the star wishing nook miles ticket by going from 0 to 200 wished stars that night. During this time, I set my tubo to the A button and depressed it with my phone while looking at the sky. My character sat their and just kept on withing on stars. As my hands were free, I joined my friends on discord and we played another game. I found the entire process very fun.

Also, pro tip for anyone who didn't know you can farm diys from Celeste, Requires time travel and that's it. Find her, and then do the following. Get a diy from her, save and close out the game. Go forwards or Backwards ONE DAY don't go any farther than that or you'll lose her. So say, she first appeared on the 2nd. Go to the 1st, log in, save and quit close out the game then go back to the 2nd. Boom, Celeste with a new DIY. I got all of her diys (excluding the zodiac stuff) in a few hours. Note, that this doesn't work all the time sometimes you won't get her, if that happens repeat it or try going forward instead of Backwards. It's not a perfect method and can be frustrating at times but it does work for alot of people. I hope I explained this correctly there are videos on it, but they leave stuff out. (Like how it doesn't always work.)

If you time travel to the past for a meteor shower and wish on stars, time travel directly to the next day to pick them up as fragments will ONLY show up the day AFTER you wish and don't remain on your beach. And then you can reset your clock to the current day and time.

20 fragments per user. If you have more than one user, you can get more in one night, by simply logging on to that account and wishing for at least twenty more stars.

I had my first big event and I spent like an hour+ wishing and got 300+ wishes (counted from the nook miles goal), only to later find out you can only get 20. I'm sorry you had to go through the same

Actually- if you have your exact weather predicted, you can determine when celeste will come because if you have a meteor shower and a few mini showers in a week, you will ALWAYS see her on the meteor shower day.

I think the Money Tree-thing is true. I have a controller that can auto-mash any button I assign to it (forgot what that function is called), I've set it up in the background like that for several meteor showers, have had days where I definitely got a limited amount but also a few days where I most certainly got way more than 20.

I was wondering how that could be, maybe I was doing sth wrong or idk, that's why I came to this video. The creator really does her research so I was hoping to get a solid answer, but it seems that there's only speculation 😅
