Oh, wow!!! You got Katrina! Thanks, Alison! I'm enjoying that rendition once again. Well many times, actually. Haha! You supposed on the button, Katrina can sing almost any genre. She's an incredible belter, with no rattling nuances on her riff & runs, has smooth & steady transitions; and has phenomenal breath control. She has a library of cover versions & Orig songs in her language. It'll be an overlook if you miss some of those. Try her "Latin Medley". You'll sway to the rhythm for sure. While her "Whitney Houston Medley" will make you think she is just doing it for fun while taking no breaks belting those Whitneys to the rooftop. Beyonce did a Spanish version of "Listen", which is "Oye". Katrina's rendition of "Oye" is well deserving, you'll think she speaks Spanish herself. Alison… Brand new subscriber here (fellow Aussie - From NSW) & when I saw this video appear in my feed, I HAD to check your reaction to it. Katrina Velarde’ (pronounced “Vel-ard-ay”) is an absolute vocal BEAST & there isn’t a single music style she can’t handle. I’d highly recommend so many of her videos, like those with the Budakhel guys, “Go the Distance” (on the Wish 107.5 Wish Bus), “Joy to the World” & you should DEFINITELY find time to check out her “Bohemian Rhapsody” rendition, where she multiplies & we then get multiple Katrina’s 👍😁❤️. She may be small in stature but she is a powerhouse vocalist & once she gets going, it’s like listening to a Porsche, Ferrari & Lamborghini all rolled into one incredible package. So, Christina Aguilera did the song for the soundtrack of the Animated Disney movie that you remember from childhood. This time, she re-did her version of that song for the Live-action movie from just a couple of years ago. That is the song that Katrina covered here. Kat covered Christina the first time and did great. But this one...Kat just 'out-Christina'd' Christina... But that is nothing new. Katrina also 'out-Boltoned' Michael Bolton. Michael did the song 'Go The Distance' for the Animated Disney movie 'Hercules'; when Kat covered that one, she absolutely blew the roof off the radio station she was sitting in. YES, she sang that LIVE on-air and KILLED it. You can see the producer on the other side of the glass, sitting there with his jaw fully open on the ground. Kat can do many different voices and styles. She did a small series of videos on her channel where she impersonated other singers. There are four such videos and I personally think the third one is THE BEST of them. But I advise listening to all of them in order. :)

Ok, I love to see reactions of people to these amazing talents, well deserved attention, as they're all just astounding! However, I see the same thing on all reaction videos now. It used to be people would watch it, react with it, and then talk about it afterwards. But now, and not just with your video, but nearly every single react to singers channel, there's an abundance of pausing, rewinding to hear a part once or more over, and comments that could be discussed after. I don't know if anyone else feels it, but for me, it kind of kills the overall mood and immersive nature of getting into the song. Just my point of view, perhaps. But I'm sure I'm not the *only* one. Doesn't mean I'm going to stop watching. I love these type of reaction videos!

It’s frustrating for me too! I was originally a viewer of reaction videos before I got into it myself. Unfortunately because of copyrighting laws, whoever owns the original video generally has the power to decide if they want to claim the rights to it, or if they won’t kick up a stink about people using sections of their vid/song. (Some are much more relaxed about it and some are super strict like with Dimash videos). I originally thought it had to be paused every 60 seconds but it seems some artists even put in copyright claims for sections as small as 30 seconds! It’s wild, it makes it so hard, but I completely understand where you’re coming from. I wish it was different, unfortunately I’m still only testing the waters with a lot of artists to see what I can get away with, so hopefully I can make it work more fluidly in the future! Believe me it’s something I wish I could change too. Big love from Australia
