She's 26 years old now. She started competing in singing competitions since she was 6 years old. She stated in a local interview that she had competed in over 300 singing competitions before she became a full fledged professional. She came from a poor family and her singing competitions were an additional source of income for her and her family. Actually, her Whitney Houston medley is a medium-range song for her, she has sung this for a few years, and it's one of the segments of her bar gigs that she doesn't strain her voice.
