Awwww you have beautiful cats!! The heart disease you mentioned (HCM) well I just lost my 7 yo calico beautiful baby girl 😪 it has been extremely devastating as we had no idea how common this is especially in certain breeds. We found out after I noticed her abdomen was moving a bit faster than normal but she showed zero signs other than that. Brought her in on Monday they removed a ton of liquid from around her heart and lungs... We lost her that Thursday so suddenly. I wish I knew sooner although the prognosis is more often not a good one. Our sweetheart left behind a 💔 family... She had the biggest sweetest heart ♥ and unfortunately her body here on earth wasn't equipped to keep it going so now she is without any illness somewhere near Rainbow 🌈 Bridge chasing butterflies 🦋 until her Strong ♥ is content! In memory of my Mimi 😽 You are missed every second of every day 💖💋💕♥️ Sorry to post a sad story but I'm grieving so bad I guess telling her story helps maybe a tiny bit especially if it brings awareness to others about HCM! Thanks

Norwegian/Siberian Forest Cats and Maine Coons have similar ancestries. It is believed that the forest cats of Europe and Eurasia were ancestors of the Maine Coons when Vikings explored New England and Eastern Canada and brought their forest cats aboard their ships.

Honestly both of your kitties are absolutely gorgeous. I hate the term shelter kitties because it makes it sound like they are less special. Every cat is a work of art. If it makes you feel better I see your kitties as a ragdoll in Maine coon. The genetic testing is based on a lot of assumptions and limited information.

My cat looks exactly like yours, even with the white diamond in her forehead. Her birthday is Augest 22, 2015 estimated. She is also a shelter cat. Who knows?? Maybe they are related.

It would be awesome if it was a bit more affordable. Even with the 10 dollars off, its not doable for me. We did it for ourselves for my family tree but I can't spend that much on my kitty... its more expensive then our tests too...
