If I’m remembering it correctly in the SunChip live Sophia & YoonChae said that the nickname originated with YoonChae being called “YoonChip” because the members of Antifragile Team A were talking about Chipotle and were asking YoonChae if she likes Chipotle(if you’re wondering why they asked her that it’s because the members were craving Chipotle and also they started talking about random stuff so YoonChae could feel at ease cause she was still somewhat shy & nervous[probably due not speaking English fluently at that time] and were talking to YoonChae about random stuff so she would be more comfortable) and someone randomly said “YoonChip” which stuck with Sophia and she kept calling YoonChae “YoonChip” as a nickname. Later on EYEKONS started calling the duo “SunChip” as their duo name, I’m assuming the Sun in SunChip is from Sophia’s bright personality & energy(also I could be remembering this incorrectly but I think I remember Sophia saying/doing something along the lines of thanking “Sunnies” in the debut finale livestream so the Sun in SunChip could stem from that as well) and the Chip in SunChip is from YoonChae’s “YoonChip” nickname.
