Fun fact, and something I didn’t think about/notice till just now. The fight between Shin and Sabine in the first episode of Ahsoka was the first live action lightsaber fight between 2 women. Also, I never felt there was anything romantically going on between Ezra and Sabine, besides Ezra flirting with her when he first met her. That’s why I’m in the Sabine and Shin shipping camp, which would also be the first gay/lesbian couple on screen in star wars, and makes sense for those 2 characters, cause they’re both not very “girly”, and if Thrawn ends up killing Baylan for actually not killing Ahsoka off, Shin could very likely join Sabine and Ezra to get revenge on Thrawn, and/or continue Baylan’s cause in some way, depending on what that ends up being. And Sabine and Shin both have that rebelish, stubborn, and dark tendency nature, the latter Shin more than Sabine of course, so I think they could compliment each other well, learning a lot together and from each other. I don’t know if Dave would go there, but I’d love to see it, not for the sake of representation at all, which I don’t care about, but because it could actually make sense for the characters and the story.
@TXNIZ Жыл бұрын
I really like how Baylan doesn't belittle or deny Shin's feelings whenever she challenges something he says or does, he simply delivers her wisdom and grants her another perspective in a calm tone. Unironically this is the best student to master dynamic ever depicted imo.

Lars Mikkelsen was already perfect in Rebels, but FINALLY seeing him play Thrawn in live action proves was was born to play Grand Admiral Thrawn! And his “Night Troopers” are beyond awesome. They’re the most intimidating looking army I’ve ever seen in Star Wars. Especially Enoch, he looks like a mix of a Spartan and a gladiator. And Baylan Skoll is proving to be one of the most complex and compelling characters in all of Star Wars. He managed to see not only that the Jedi had fallen even before Order 66 because of how they had become so blinded by their own hubris and hypocrisy, but he sees that the Galaxy can never be governed for long or even properly by either a Republic nor an Empire. So he is looking for a new power that will outlast all of them. It just makes it more tragic that Ray Stevenson didn’t live to see the overwhelming praise he would’ve received. What really surprised me was the Nightsisters being the lynchpin that ties everything together. Now it makes sense how an incredibly ancient map could lead to where Thrawn was currently, because Morgan was told so in her visions by the Great Mothers, who were instructed by Thrawn. And in exchange for aiding Thrawn, he would take them and whatever their cargo is (and I have a bad feeling I might know what it is) back to our Galaxy. DAVE FILONI YOU MAD GENIUS, YOU NEVER FAIL TO ENTERTAIN US!

When I first saw the Howler, I noticed that it almost resembles a Loth Wolf 🐺, and the end credits do show what looks like a cave painting of a Loth Wolf or a Howler before they show cave paintings of the Purrgil 🤔. Loth Wolves are strongly connected to the Force, capable of limited speech, and can traverse the World Between Worlds to get to different places on Lothal very quickly. I wonder if the Howlers are similar 🤔? (Yes, I am well aware of Dave Filoni's fondness for wolves 😅.)

What an amazing episode! Your reactions are so genuine and fun to watch. I love that you let your emotions show, because they mirror so much of what the fans feel watching this awesome series. I got literal chills seeing the Chimera and Thrawn, felt anxious and forelorn with Sabine as she wandered the world looking for Ezra, then I cried when they were reunited. I know so many people say they thought Ezra and Sabine's reunion was anticlamatic, but keep in mind, the poor guy's been living in exile and on the run for ten years! And Sabine thought she'd never see him again. It was probably super surreal for them both. I loved it! Grown up Ezra looks so much like his dad, it was beautiful. I also loved the slow down for this episode. It was great to have a few action-packed episodes in a row, but this was needed to bring it down a knotch and EXPERIENCE the gravity of this place and where it's all going. I love Dave's storytelling. He takes his time and lets us marinate in the broth of his rich stories. I can't wait for next week!

Another fantastic episode. Ahsoka had a difficult task of continuing stories of established characters from the animated series Clone Wars and Rebels, and doing it in such a way that mainstream audience could just jump in. Not only has it done that but this episode specifically has expanded the galaxy we know into unknown realms and it’s absolutely thrilling and intriguing to watch and I love to see yalls reactions. Always nice to see you happy, Sonny. Filoni's live-action depiction of Thrawn was spot on PERFECT. Now, I'm most intrigued to know just WHAT it is that is "calling" to Baylan Skoll and "stirring" within this galaxy...he is a wolf of the sun, after all. The planet, Peridea certainly seems to be filled with "energy" of all kinds. It's interesting to note that The Nightsisters wish to leave this planet and galaxy, while Baylan, a Former Jedi-turned-Force-user mercenary, wishes to start a new beginning/life in this seemingly desolate place. Yes, what is this "power"? Is it The Rakata, The Zeffo, The Yuuzhan Vong (of which, Lucas and Filoni intended to bring in to canon via The Clone Wars, before the sale to Disney), The Grysk...or, is it The Sorcerers Of Rhand...or, The Mother (Abeloth)? Since seeing Baylan and Shin, over these last few episodes, I'm thinking of a new presence in the galaxies: The Order Of The Force. Definite food for serious thought. May The Force Be With You 2...

I agree with your comment about the Night Trooper design looking like they're broken. And yes, the gold in their armor also reminds me of the Japanese art of kintsugi! It really gives a strong impression that these troopers have been "broken" and then somehow put back together again, and the red cloth strips suggest it was done with Night Sister magic, hence their name, Night Troopers. It makes me wonder if they also have some sort of magical/Force abilities as well? It makes me wonder if they aren't ghosts or zombies of some sort, sort of like the character Marrok that Ahsoka defeated in episode 4. It's definitely the coolest design for stormtroopers I've seen so far!

You know what would be really cool? A series with huyang narrating stories about the Jedi and other stuff over the years. I would watch the heck out of something like that!
