Thrawn looks so much better if you have a TV that can vertically stretch away the black bars, makes him look taller and more lean. And the reason for the haircut, is to highlight the forehead, which makes him look wiser, even if Thrawn doesn't look like that originally. And of course he's got pupils to allow the actor to act more, instead of just having glowing red eyes.

Ive enjoyed Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka and Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine but just based on these few minutes, Eman Esfandi as Ezra has captured the feel of the animated character the best. This really felt like it was Ezra Bridger through and through, just a few years older. He attitude, mannerism and tone of speech was spot on. "I cant wait to go home" sounded and felt exactly like in Ezra's final message in Rebels where he instead says "I cant wait to come home". I also like the small touch of Ezra not actually knowing if his plan worked, "It worked didnt it?" "didnt it?"

I feel like it's taken Natasha and Eman interacting as Sabine and Ezra to really sell me on the casting. The mannerisms in their conversation in this episode were spot on for how they spoke to each other in Rebels. The line that really stood out to me was Natasha's delivery of "That's because you didn't tell any us where you were going".

I think that Ashoka's guilt and anxiety about Ani is why she declined to train Grogu but did start with Sabine. Young Grogu is already very powerful and of course Sabine has no force sensitivity. When I first saw the Howler, I noticed that it almost resembles a Loth Wolf 🐺, and the end credits do show what looks like a cave painting of a Loth Wolf or a Howler before they show cave paintings of the Purrgil 🤔. Loth Wolves are strongly connected to the Force, capable of limited speech, and can traverse the World Between Worlds to get to different places on Lothal very quickly. I wonder if the Howlers are similar 🤔? (Yes, I am well aware of Dave Filoni's fondness for wolves 😅.)

I have been enjoying the heck out of your Star Wars Journey. From someone who only knew Vader was Luke's father, all the way to the look on your face when you saw Ezra standing behind Sabine in Ahsoka episode 6. Priceless by the way! Man, this episode was PACKED. Not just with plot and lore, but character development. Firstly, I love seeing how Baylan really is a man of his word (and of course, Thrawn as well). Sure, they're gonna try to kill Sabine right after their end of the deal was held up. But they DID hold up their end of the deal to Sabine. Second, Sabine's issues with her horse-wolf thing do a great job of highlighting her attachment issues (likely the result of losing her family in the Mandalorian Purge). Also, lots of people seem to be pointing out how Thrawn gave a noticeable pause when Morgan suggested they send more troops. I instantly realized that this was Thrawn legitimately considering the suggestion, pausing to think about his decision again. Not because he doubted his decision, but because Thrawn legitimately cares about the input from those under his command (Legends material demonstrated this quite well). Thrawn had already thoroughly thought-out his decision to send as many troops as he did, but reconsidered (even if it didn't change his decision in the end) because he knows better than to simply ignore or disregard a suggestion. And finally, Sabine's reunion with Ezra. A reunion we've waited nearly six years for. And Eman Esfandi stepped into the role of Ezra Bridger *PERFECTLY.* The man nailed the look (ignoring the lack of blue-ish hair), and sincerely feels like our Ezra from all those years ago. - Some fans also notices Ezra now looks exactly like his father from that still image he had, which we saw in Rebels. - I find it hilarious how we were all correct that it was Eman Esfandi cast as Ezra, WAY before it was ever confirmed, to the point Eman Esfandi either shut down his social medias or blocked comments that mentioned Star Wars, Ezra, etc. As for how Ezra will react to learning that Sabine has basically single-handedly undone his sacrifice... I'm not sure. I'm fairly confident that Ezra won't be angry. He seems like he's grown beyond that by now. And it isn't like Ezra hasn't made his own selfish choices before, either. I think he'd understand, and simply move forward, preparing for the next fight, as always. And as for Sabine... I think that this reunion with Ezra will finally allow her to overcome her internal struggles and really open herself up to the force. Also, I wonder if Ezra will take his lightsaber back, or allow Sabine to keep it, and build a new one (especially since Huyang is around).

I see Sabine’s loyalty to Ezra is next level but I also see that she’s got abandonment issues from the way she treated her “wolf horse”. Did the witches smell Jedi on Sabine because she’s coming into her power? Shin Hati asks a lot of questions, her character is interesting, I think she and Sabine will either end up hating each other or they will end up besties. I bet Huyang knows more about this planet and his knowledge is gonna be very important. Best episode so far. I hope Ahsoka got a return trip scheduled from her whale Uber.

The lesson was to get Ahsoka to transition through her survivors guilt. Its why she's been so jaded and stoic, and why she hasn't been able to properly train Sabine. Great episode! Oh and here's some geeky trivia: The actor who plays Thrawn here, Lars Mikkelsen, also did Thrawn's voice in the animated shows! Even geekier trivia: his brother, Mads Mikkelsen, played Jyn Erso's father Galen Erso, the designer of the Death Star, in the Rogue One movie! 🤓 And the howler was one of my favorite things... Definite horse/dog/pig vibes. It also kinda resembles one of the Egyptian gods named Sobek! Also loved the design of Enoch and the Night Troopers. I wonder if maybe they're somehow magically-Infused by the Night Sisters or something. This episode is also pretty groundbreaking in the sense that this is the first time they've traveled to another galaxy on screen! My hope is that Huyang will somehow be able to record their hyperspace path while they're en route since it looks like purgills don't migrate back from there 😮😮😮 Lots of foreshadowing about Peridea being a place where whales migrate to die... As soon as I heard that I understood why it was a one-way trip for Thrawn and Ezra. It's also a good plot device for Thrawn leaving the good guys "stranded", perhaps until season 2 😮 There's a part of me that's wondered if Shin Hati is a potential future ally. Maybe she doesn't agree with her master's plan or just has her own ambitions. At the very least, I could see an uneasy temporary alliance between her and the good guys in order to get back to the home galaxy.

Baylon is in the right path. The republic and empire have been fighting for thousands and thousands of years. It seems to be an endless cycle for some reason. Even in the rise of skywalker the empire had returned yet again. Baylon is a character that is rare in Star Wars. The kind that is looking to break the order of things. The closest that we got to breaking this endless cycle was about 4000 years prior when a force user named Kreia wanted to kill the force. She almost succeeded and it would have meant that the force wouldn't dictate the events that affected the galaxy and everybody would be free in a sense, but nobody knows this and Baylon himself seems too reliant on the force, so his approach is a different one.

Hey, Emme! Lots of payoffs and lots of foreshadowing in an atmospheric episode. Very cool META REFERENCE by Huyang quoting the franchise's opening lines, "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away", which is how he opened his folktales to the younglings. PERIDEA's rings are the bones of dead Purrgills! The planet is like an ELEPHANT GRAVEYARD for them. Filoni just RET-CONNED the whole origin of the Nightsisters! The LEGENDS CANON was the order was begun by a rogue Jedi 600 years in the past who set up shop on Dathomir and lured female colonists away from their families. The colonists were expelled and Dathomir became known as a witch-world. The adepts used their power to garner influence and their dangerous reputation ensured their isolation. Some pirates sold them Zabrak slaves with whom they interbred keeping the female children for the order and establishing a Nightbrother settlement for the males. The human-Zabrak hybrids of Dathomir were called Dathomiri-Zabrak like Darth Maul who was Mother Talzin's son. True Zabraks hail from their homeworld of Iridonia. By the time of the Clone Wars, all Nightsisters and Nightbrothers were Dathomiri-Zabrak hybrids. The Nightsisters debuted in the 1985 live-action TV movie "Battle for Endor". The NEW CANON states the Nightsisters originated in this other galaxy and established outposts in the Star Wars galaxy before history was recorded pre-dating the RAKATAN INFINITE EMPIRE! This is a major deviation from established lore! The three elders who greet the pilgrims are three known actresses named after the three FATE SISTERS of Greek mythology! KLOTHOW is played by CLAUDIA BLACK of "Farscape" where she portrayed Aeryn Sun and "Pitch Black" where she portrayed Shazza. She is named after CLOTHO, the Fate who spins the thread of life. LAKESIS is played by JANE EDWINA SEYMOUR of "Star Trek: Picard" where she portrayed the Borg Queen. She is named after LACHESIS, the Fate who measures out the thread of life. AKTROPAW is played by JERYL PRESCOTT of "The Walking Dead" where she portrayed Jacqui and "Ray Donovan" where she portrayed Cherry. She is named after ATROPOS, the Fate who cuts the thread of life! It's disorienting for LEGENDS fans to see LARS MIKKELSEN in the role of Thrawn because he is supposed to be a younger man with strikingly chiseled good looks and sharp cheekbones. However, I was prepped to accept the change by seeing "Rebels" and "The Witcher" where he played the wily mage Stregobor. It's good continuity keeping the voice actor and Mikkelsen did not disappoint. CAPTAIN ENOCH with the gold faceplate is played by WES CHATHAM of "The Expanse" where he portrayed Amos Burton. The troops are all bound by red Nightsister bandages and their cracked armor has been repaired using the KINTSUGI method of filling the gaps with gold lacquer. Thrawn says their numbers have dwindled and he's reluctant to commit too many troops to track Sabine. I bet these guys are mostly ZOMBIE TROOPERS like Marrok the Inquisitor. BAYLAN and SHIN are the stars of the show! RAY STEVENSON is killing it in this part! What's calling out to this man? What do the Nightsisters wish to get away from? How can it break the cycle of war? Is it possible the YUUZHAN VONG are lurking somewhere nearby? I sure hope so! EZRA BRIDGER shows up as EMAN ESFANDI with blue contacts and a beard looking very much like Ezra's pops from the cartoon images! Very good casting. He and Sabine have an unpleasant discussion ahead. The HOWLER's attachment to Sabine was very cute as were the nomadic NOTI Shell People. The bandits looked like RONIN in their red armor. What is the cargo being loaded onto the 'Chimera'? Nightsisters in stasis? Mummified Nightsisters? Nightsister relics? Nightsister treasure? We shall see...

Thrawn has way more depth than Rebels gave him credit for. The canon books paint him in a completely different light and I am not sure how he got to the point of being this sinister. Usually all that he did, he did to protect the Chiss Ascendency, including using the empires forces to do so.

Great reaction, This episode was so good, seeing Trawn and Ezra in live action, and seeing a fckng HOWLER i only know them from the game Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. Although these Howlers look less reptilian like the game and more like a horse-dog hybrid. But it was amazing. Keep up the good work

Thrawn seriously looks like Data from The Next Generation, just painted blue. I honestly can't even take the aesthetic character design of Thrawn seriously at all because of it. It's a dead ringer, and it's hilarious.

I think you’ve greatly misunderstood Thrawn. He’s not a generic villain. He appreciates his allies and enemies alike, he may not care for them more, but he doesn’t hate them. He has his own goals, and those goals are mostly in greater service for his people, the Chiss. That is why he joined the Empire, because he saw that this course of action would benefit his people most. It is understandable that you don’t know all of Thrawn’s motives since most of it was established in the books.
