Thank you Sonny and Major Dad, your reactions and reviews make me happy. I love to see you guys watching together. I lost my dad in 2012 and I wish he was still around to see all the star wars stuff. When Lukes x-wing showed up, I really thought my prediction of Luke and Grogu saving them was coming thru. But alas it was only part true. I loved the series and I just think that it was great star wars all around. Even if the story telling was a bit disjointed at times.
@IkeThe9th2 жыл бұрын
This was a good series. Disjointed perhaps, but I got almost a dozen characters I didn’t expect to see in live action and it was action packed. Crossing my fingers that Cade Bane is alive and will be needed soon by another highly intelligent blue guy. Like the second season of The Mandalorian, I think Boba Season 2 will be even better. The Mandalorian universe and even Force Awakens are similar situation to Doctor Who in the UK. When Doctor Who successfully returned it was with Russel T Davies as Showrunner who was a life-long Doctor Who fan and much of his production staff and writers were all fans. The fans were making the series. Now we have similar situation with Star Wars, many of people behind the series are life-long fans. We are living in an era that "The Lunatics are running the Asylum" and its great.

To anyone that thinks Grogu's time with Luke was a waste, you don't understand foreshadowing! The armorer said the Mandalorian that forged the darksaber was also a Jedi. That isn't just throw away dialogue. Mandalorians are all about their family while Jedi try to be free of attachment. So there is a paradox that serves the theme and the story. Luke needs to learn the lesson that attachment can be strength and I think through Grogu he will drop that dogma that didn't serve the Jedi in the end anyway. Grogu had to choose to become a Mandalorian for it to mean anything and to make a choice you have to be aware of the alternative.
@LA_HA2 жыл бұрын
Trapped in America: Insightful. I like it. We'll see what happens in the next season of The Mandalorian, but you may be right
@FalenDragmire2 жыл бұрын
If that's the case, I feel like that's one of the only bad things about the shows so far. Luke should already have learned that lesson, as it was his attachment to his father that led to the galaxy being saved from the empire in the first place.
@LA_HA2 жыл бұрын
@@FalenDragmire Attachment? Luke didn't know about Vader/Anakin until Empire, and then rejected him. After what can only be seen as the lost year (or so) after Han is taken by Fett and he appears at Jabba's palace, Luke has been training alone. It has to be that during that time, Luke has been doing some meditating in the Force, because after rescuing Han, he returns to Yoda and rejects Yoda and Obi Wan's plan to kill Vader, his father. Luke chooses the middle path - turning him back to the light side of the Force. There's nothing that says it's about attachment. It's about doing the right thing. Yes, there's very likely an element of a boy who yearns to know his father. Still, it's not like he's alone. He now knows Leia is his sister, so if it comes to it, he'll kill Vader for her, Han, and his rebel scum family. Luke's attached to them. Not really Vader. However, it's a bit late, I'm tired, and I could be forgetting something. Let me know what if that's the case. haha

Cad Bane isn't dead. Beside evidence of a heartbeat at the end of that scene, he had just bragged "I knew you were a killer," so it wouldn't make narrative sense for Boba to give him the satisfaction of being right by killing him. This reminds me of some of the greatest classic westerns in that it depicts the closing of the wild, lawless "might makes right" gunslinger era as civilization adopts new ways to build a better future. It also reminds me of the old saying "If you would enjoy the law and eating sausages, you should not seek to know how they are made" as Boba tries to be an ethical and enlightened leader while Fennic enforces the peace by doing her assassin bit in the shadows. I really liked the "honor" exchange between Boba and Mando. Boba's "death and rebirth" made him want to make something better than the system that nearly killed him, and his sense honor is based on the sense of commitment and responsibility that gave him. Mando's sense of honor comes from his religious faith in "the way." They're worlds apart in their philosophical beliefs, but they found common ground defending this town.

Chances are that Bane is still alive. Right after Boba stabs him with the gaffi stick, Bane's heart monitor(?) starts blinking and beeping. So it might at the same time be a signal that is received by someone who is working with him (or maybe to his ship and his droid). I don't think that they'll kill him off that easily. He's way to cool of a character and too popular. That being said...nice reaction once again of the two of you. :)

Loving the series, i know some complained about Din getting two episodes but i do think now we're just watching a massive connected universe with all the stories flowing in and out so series titles are not such a big thing anymore. Either way i just love it. Was a bit gutted Cad Bane was killed off but was he .... if you check the last images of him on the ground his life support is still working on his suit and we can hear and see a light flashing/beeping on the chest (his top left). So i'm thinking we'll not see him in a while but when he does re-show it might be a Omega tie in, that's my hope for series 2 of Boba Fett.

A little off topic but... I keep forgetting to ask this but with Major Dad being Military/Historian if he is aware of the war between Canada and Denmark. As a Canadian I have always gotten a kick out of this story and feel that this is the way all wars should be fought. The Whisky War is a pseudo-confrontation and border conflict between Denmark and Canada over Hans Island. Since the 1930s, Hans Island has been in the middle of a disagreement between the two nations. Hans Island is in the middle of the Kennedy Channel between Greenland and Ellesmere Island (1,290 m long and 1,199 m wide). A theoretical line in the middle of the strait goes through the island. Canada and Denmark could not come to terms on Hans Island in 1973 when a border treaty was signed, leaving a gap in its border description. In 1984, Canada provoked Denmark by planting its flag on the island and leaving a bottle of Canadian whisky. The Danish Minister of Greenland Affairs came to the island himself the same year with the Danish flag, a bottle of schnapps, and a letter stating "Welcome to the Danish Island" I will toast Major Dad with a shot of schnapps tonight.

The Scorpinek droids were originally concept art for Episode 2: Attack of the Clones, but wasn't used. It felt like throughout the series that they were building up to revealing the real big bad the Pykes were working for. In Episode 6 Cad Bane only referred to "The Syndicate" still suggesting that another Syndicate was behind it. But in this episode he said "The Pyke Syndicate". So disappointed that the "Big Bad" they were building up to turned out to just be the Pykes. Also it felt like a clunky bit of plot dump when it was revealed it was the Pykes not the Nikto gang that killed the Tuskens, just a "Oh yes by the way we done this not them!" *CLANG*. That wasn't handled well.
