Yea, you could sense he is still fine tuning the jokes and feeling them out because everyone is overly sensitive these days and any joke can now be considered offensive to any group. Comedy, in particular stand up comedy, is becoming increasingly more difficult with each passing year. Unless of course you just have an "I don't give a damn" attitude and style. Smart man don’t go to any of those parties or office meetings. I’m an artist, I graduated from the Art Institute and my alma mater was having an art party I went to it. There’s this fashion designer professor that was 6’5” and 450lbs white guy, we often talk about color coordination, patterns, we got to be cool as friends. That one night after the party he invited me to his after party in the hotel down the street, I declined. Three months later I get invited to my schools art party, I go and he’s there with his four friends. One of them said, “He’s nice looking…”, then that professor introduced me to his friends and the same guy said, “Ohhhh this is the guy you’ve been talking about.” Then later he invited me to his home for the after party, I declined. So it’s getting late I walked down 4 blocks to catch the bus home, that professor and his friends were in his car he stopped and asked me again if I want to go to his house to party I declined, they all waved goodbye and drove off. The first clue was he tried twice to get me at his “after party “, second clue he told his friends about me and I don’t know how long he’s been mentioning me to his friends, third clue trying to get me in the car and get me in his house there’s no more buses running after 10p I’m trapped in his home. When they’re thirsty don’t give them a drink.
