@derp one of the boys, teenage dream n prism dont really have sampled songs so they deserved to win some. Just that it is produced by the same people like California Gurls n Tiktok by Kesha. sugar by maroon 5 sounds like Birthday by her. People accused Roar of copying Brave by Sara Bareilles but it was later proven that Roar was recorded earlier they just happened to have the same chords@arrangement. Chained to the rhythm does sound like Price Tag by Jessie J and Hey3 like Girlfriend Avril Lavigne, both from witness the shitty album that made her went downhill. Dua lipa and ariana grande both copied their own songs since they sound the same while olivia rodrigo openly addmited sampling Taylor Swift n Paramore. Katy is shitty now and sampled her own songs too later on but One of The Boys, Teenage Dream and Prism deserved way more huge recognition than what she got.

She’s the epitome of the manufactured pop star by family connections - her Christian rock facade wasn’t working, so she did the whole “teenage dreams” act as someone who was pushing 30 at the time. He left me “Very Special” by Debra Laws, and “Can’t you see” by the Marshall Tucker Band on my voicemail. A verse from each. The next day I woke up to my phone repeatedly ringing. It was my family. He had been killed in an accident on his motorcycle before I got the chance to call back. There are a few songs that still hurt to hear. This is one of them.
