Here is a breakdown: The line “Falling from Cloud 9” in her song Wide Awake is a double entendre. It describes both the feeling of crashing from the rush of her Teenage Dream Era (aka falling from the clouds she was on in the Teenage Dream music video, as pictured at the start of the Wide Awake music video) and falling from the cloud 9 feeling she was in when with her x-husband. When in the maze, you can see the walls start to close in on Katy. This is symbolism for how trapped she felt being in a relationship with her ex-husband. In the maze, she is also seen biting from a strawberry, which represents how her ex-husband took away her youth. Luckily, her inner child comes to save her in the maze. As she’s escaping from the maze, you can see Katy run into a hall of mirrors, one of which has paparazzi behind it. This is meant to symbolize how the news of her divorce was twisted and turned by the paparazzi, ultimately sending her into a depressive episode (represented by the floor crumbling beneath her). This is shown in the next scene, where her inner child is wheeling her through the halls of a mental hospital. When in the mental hospital, Katy runs into two bulls. The two bulls represent the obstacles she had to face when healing from the divorce. Again, her inner child comes to the rescue and defeats the bulls. After running out the doors of the mental hospital with her inner child, Katy is seen standing in a garden with lots of flowers and roses. The garden represents the garden of Eden. In the garden, katy runs into a prince on a horse. The prince represents Adam, or the men who came to take Katy’s (Eve) youth after the divorce. The prince can be seen crossing his fingers when asking Katy to join him. Instead of taking his offer, Katy punches the prince in the face. This represents how Katy won’t let another guy who is not willing to commit to a relationship steal her youth again. After fleeing through the heart shaped hole in the hedge, Katy is seen on a street with her inner child. On the street, Katy thanks her inner child for saving her. In return, she is given a butterfly. 🦋 This is meant to represent how Katy has healed from the trama her divorce caused and transformed into a new person. At the very end of the music video, Katy is seen rising up onto a concert stage in a peppermint outfit. She then proceeds to sing the opening to Teenage Dream. This short clip represents the day her husband divorced her. Basically, her husband divorced her through text right before one of her big concerts. Crushed, she stayed in her dressing room and cried. At that moment, she had to make a decision. Either she would stay in her dressing room and cry, disappointing thousands of fans. Or she would go out there and perform. She ultimately chose to perform, which is shown in the last clip of the music video. This shows how truly dedicated Katy Perry is to her fans.

I'm 💜 Katy Perry and she is my favorite artist especially of my generation and also I'm haven't heard this song since forever but I'm really still like the song till this day it's aged well . The song is about a reality of a breakup to moving forward and also the video synopsis is: starts with Perry finishing shooting the topless cloud scene for the "California Gurls" video and going to her dressing room while talking with her assistant named John. She then takes off her wig, looks into the mirror, and the setting turns to a dark labyrinth, with Perry holding a lantern. The camera pans up to show the entire labyrinth, while also revealing a hill with light shining through the clouds onto it. Perry sees a strawberry, picks it off and eats it, and the walls close in on her. Perry pushes the walls, as a firework shoots from her chest into the dark sky. A door opens to reveal a younger version of Perry, and their hands touch. The two reach a mirror in which the younger Perry does not have a reflection, and paparazzi taking pictures (one of whom is dressed as Freddy Krueger) are seen behind the mirror. The floor begins to crumble as Perry finally shatters the mirror and the shards of the glass become butterflies. The little girl is then seen pushing a wheelchair in which Perry sits in a hospital gown, trembling with the poisoned strawberry in one hand. In the hallway, they are met by two minotaur guards who block their way. The little girl furiously goes up to them and stomps her foot, sending the minotaurs flying. Perry gets up from the wheelchair, grabbing the little girl's hand as they run down the hallway to the exit. The doors open to reveal a garden. A man dressed as Prince Charming appears riding a unicorn, and walks to Perry with fingers crossed behind his back. Perry punches him in the face, sending him through the fence. Perry and the girl find a heart-shaped exit, and the two girls high-five. They hug each other before the little girl places something in Perry's closed fist. The little girl rides away into a suburban neighborhood on a bike with a license plate reading "Katheryn", which is Katy's birth name. Perry returns to her dressing room and opens her fist, revealing a butterfly. The camera pans to a concert stage where Perry stands on a rising platform, and sings the beginning bars of "Teenage Dream" to a full audience as the butterfly flies into the arena. 🦋💋😺

The song and the music video shows how Katy dealt with the deal from demons. The strawberry represents the fruit on the garden of eden where she took a bite and sinned, gained power, fame, her ideal man and everything. The young Katy guides the old Katy out of the maze. As you can see she ignored the cameras, even at the end of the maze there were guards not letting her pass through or exit. And at the end of the maze, there are still a lot of temptations (her ideal guy) and confusions (the cat) but she overcame those.
