Kaufman trailer review

I have had this trailer for 7 months now and though I would do a review of it. This is a heavy built trailer that handles weight very well. There are so things I would change if I buy another one. Any questions you have leave in the comments.

When you drive up on the ramp and the support hits the ground the angle is correct. That’s why it’s done like that

I don't care what brand of trailer you buy the paint sucks on all of them I've got 2 PJ Trailers and that's my biggest complaint on them is the paint good video

I have a QSA dump trailer to. It is powdered coated, it's a little better but it's fading pretty bad. Thanks for watching.

I think sometime in the late 80s, maybe early 90s, EPA got involved and paint changed. Seemed like paint on everything went down hill then.

@@burningdinosaurs EPA started pushing all manufacturers to powder coating from solvent to reduce air emissions. I believe the metal adhesion is better with the solvent based product and I know the coverage is better.

Curious at how it could be a 16,000 LB GVWR with 7,000lb axles. That would rate it at 14,000 GVWR.

It titled as a 16,000 gvw trailer. I asked the same question when I bought it. I don't remember the answer I got.

Monty Bussard the trailer frame itself is probably rated as 16,000 GVWR, but they put 7k axles on it which in reality would rate it as a 14,000 GVWR. Since you didn't opt for the 8k axles, you should have had the dealer de-rate it as a 14,000 GVWR. It would have saved you some money on tagging it each year. You're paying a higher rate at 16,000 GVWR.

Since it has the 16k rating they are expecting you to put 2k of tongue weight so you dont over load the trailers axles and tires. Alot of companys do this especially when you get into goosenecks. Big tex and pj do it there goosenecks.
