I think it's really refreshing that you don't want kids. Society isn't used to hearing that these days. They think because we are women we have to automatically want to bear children. It's a choice and should be respected.

Hi, I've just read your comment. Being Asian , whether South, Far Eastern or middle Eastern, having families and babies is very pivotal and important it also has deep connected cultural and religious ties. One can go really into this subject so to cut it short, is that the present generation who have grown in the west is very different than our parents and grandparents. In the west there is ' choice' something which is relatively new to our elders. Asians of the past weren't given a choice, they simply carried on with tradition and were told what to do. How many time have we been told ' when I got married, I did this and this because it was family tradition' or my Grandmother had it this way ' etc. I think growing up in the west has an substantial effect on Asians and their lifestyle choices. Slowly, with time the future generations will be living very western lives and cultural identity will become blurred if not lost but I do think they will hold on to religion. This is just my personal view but I do read what sociologists and psychologists write about regarding culture and society and that choice is a good thing. Being able to make up your mind and deciding what is best for yourself is equally important as respecting and following your culture. I have seen, first hand how some South Asians have completely lost their identity and at first are very happy and confident but slowly with time they become dissolutioned and feel lost, meaning they don't fit in with either cultures. I think I'm going in too deep here!!! Lol but it's just a fascinating subject but we all should respect eachother's others choices in life and be happy with the outcomes whatever they are.😄

No disrespect, but genuinely why do you not want kids? Besides the obvious it’s a personal choice or I just don’t want but what drives it?

If you have any lush stores around you , i HIGHLY recommend them. I lost so much hair recently that i could see large patches of my scalp. I started using their "roots hair mask", "new shampoo bar" and "new hot oil treatment". In two to three months, i recovered completely. Do give it a try. All the best. Also , pls consult a doctor before starting any vitamins or amy supplements etc. Try to eat a good healthy diet , that helps too.

R thank you soo much I love lush products too especially their face masks! Definitely going to try out the products that you’ve mentioned above. Which shampoo bar and hot oil treatment do you use? However, I have started to use natural based shampoos and conditioners without containing Parabens and SLS, will see how that goes. I recently starting taking vitamin D as I normally do have low vitamin D as it showed in my blood test results few years ago since we don’t get enough sun in the UK even my dermatologist said so, hopefully that will help. Thank you once again ☺️

There are so many societal pressures towards women having children. I had an epiphany in my early 20's, I started listening to my heart and my logic, realising that it is usually the best decision and often the right one despite what others day. Sometimes I feel guilt about my choices, like I am letting people down however, being a good mother also means being ready and making sure that the child has the best possible care they deserve and that involves not letting yourself down either. I too have 2 nephews and I feel like I have already had some experience and got it out of my system, but I guess it's nice to hear other women of Asian descent with similar decisions. Thanks for being real and saying very difficult things to a large audience 🙏🏼.

Good evening, love watching your videos! To be honest, I've not really come across any south Asian women/ men who actually say they don't want children. It's usually 'not yet' or 'we're waiting to buy a house and become financially stable'. I do think you and your husband would be fab parents! Would it be possible to just touch up on the subject briefly as to how you both came to the decision of not wanting children, I know it's a very private topic but I've been reading up on it and I believe that modern South Asians in the west are more educated or shall I say, more in touch and well informed in what they actually want in life, compared to the 1st generation of Asians who held firmly onto culture and religion and gave it their utmost priority. For some people it would unheard of making a decision like yours, there'd be furious In -Laws and extended family members. I think it's a personal but brave decision as it's already difficult for couples who cannot conceive and the delay brings out the worst accusations and snide remarks. I totally respect your views and privacy and this is just a comment and I'm trying to piece together facts and history along with culture, it's an interest I have. Best wishes 😘....p.s would you be open to adoption?
