In this composition at one place there’s a mention that he composed it in ‘raagmalika’ indicating that it’s a composition in a garland of raagas. But you mentioned it to be in Kalyani ragam. So?

The Composition is set primarily in Kalyani Ragam but the usage of graha bhedam or Murchana makes it a mixture of different ragas like Shankarabharam, Mohanam, Hindolam and Darbari Kanada. Kalyani from P to P gives Shankarabharanam(Bilawal) Kalyani from R to R(Without S and P) gives Mohanam(Bhoopali) Kalyani from M to M( Sans S and P) gives Hindolam(Malkauns) Kalyani from G to G gives Natabhairavi out of which Darbari Kanada(Darbari) is arrived Hope this clarifies
