Did they just end on a minor chord instead of the, I presume, original major chord?

They did I prefer the E major chord ending of the original video But this is also good!!!!

Yes, yes they did, and this isn't the first ensemble to do this exact same thing, why would they deliberately screw it up like that? It was written in major and should always be performed that way. My two cents.

I love this song but what had you go minor at the very end?

It says: “If that other-town boy come, I will make love with him till the noon time” …and later: “I will love him (make love with him) whole life”

I'll be kind and just say a line was crossed here when it should not have been. It takes directorial humility to hear the moments and pull out different ideas long before performances.

I am the director of the group that performed this over 10 years ago. I coached this with some of the original singers from the original group in the 70s.

Wow. Interesting but not convincing. This is really Not what this music is supposed to sound like

What does that even mean? I coached it with several members of the original group.... Good job keyboard warrior.

Certainly a fine job. And the Bulgarian Women’s Choir sounds entirely- like entirely different. This choir is clearly a western European / American style choir doing a fine job approximating this music. A superb effort. Just not how the music is sung by those trained - for many years- in this very particular Bulgarian style of singing.

@@jackdolphy8965 doesn't matter, it's made in the USA so it's obviously superior to the clearly primitive white voice singers of the oriental countries of Slavs ;)

@@thejohnscreekchorale9317it lacks “perceived speed” - the dynamism, the emotion…imagine a young girl “talking - singing” about the boy she really likes to her mother in a lovely way…a teen rambling quite emotionally about the “love of her life” in that kind of “high pitched” VERY emotional and expressive voice typical of emotionally aroused teens. Thats the right emotional expression of the song. Sorry for the musically non-technical way of talking about it, but even as a non-musician from Bulgaria its quite obvious to me. As well as the fact that it should be pure vocal performance(despite the timing difficulties for the choir). Thats what makes it so emotional, in an “immature-teeny” way - if there is perceived by the audience “tact” to it, the flowing nature of it is diminished. Otherwise - great work. You are close to making it excellent, and I wish you and the girls that. Greetings from Bulgaria 😊
