Thanks, man. My mum (mom) gave me one in 1995 and yours is the most thorough review I've seen.

Hi , I also have one but I think it was deprogrammed or something similar. All the lights are on and it doesn't play any sound

Haha, thanks this was highly entertaining. Helped me decide not to pick one up. Although those layered drum edit sounds were very tempting. Nice video!

Wow, 25 year old sounds, but they sound EXACTLY like they did then. I rag digital, but the 80's soundtrack music was awesome using sounds like at 9:00, dig it! Hopefully picking up a 1984 digital/analog Kawai x330 today. As an organ player and tone head for 36 years now ( 20 guitar and 16+ organ) I prefer great analog tone generation. FM began the 'that sucks' era of the 80's. I am currently working with MEMS technology for tone generation by using electromagnetism and digital control, AND discrete analog components. Only analog can interact:) 12:00 LOL

The passage at 11:40 comes straight off the DM album "Speak and Spell". Awesome

can it do d50 type synthesis? It sounds like you could take a sample and use it as partials that are in its rom and then there is the synthesizer
@djilyaz3 жыл бұрын
No...d50 is deeper

It was trying to help you play Howard Jones' 'New Song' from 12:10 to 12:13. What an awesome set of keys.

Nice., Primitive, and Fun.

Thanks, that feature didn't really appeal to me, you hit one key and it plays a canned riff, each key in the ad-lib keys plays a different riff, kinda fun, very similar to an arpeggiator. It's not going to fool anyone into thinking you are Herbie Hancock..lol. Thanks for watching.

I also have one, I'm trying to fix it, I think it's deprogrammed, don't you have backup files for SysEx?

Does this keyboard have a disk drive?
@sterling223311 жыл бұрын
Haha, you're right, you did -- and so abominably that I didn't recognize it. Apparently you had never spent much time learning this feature. It's okay, most of your demo was very good. Too bad Kawai didn't go further with that keyboard so you could Midi in some higher quality sounds. Anyway, thanks for the cool demo.

@bernardnickerson31706 жыл бұрын
As I recall it had two (2) male plugs that plug into the back of the keyboard (different colours i.e. white and red) which end up with (1) black plug allowing a cable to be plugged in and then into an amp. Bernard A Nickerson on fb or bernie1946@hotmail.com

The fs2000 is different to the fs800 ? More features, more sounds?
@sterling223311 жыл бұрын
Too bad you don't still have the keyboard. You not only can "play" each of a dozen or more riffs, but you can also CREATE your own riffs and store them. AND when you play a riff and then change the chording two or three times, then switch to a different riff -- you *could* sound very much like, uh,... Herbie?

What, all that razzmatazz and we didn't even get to hear its main feature, the one-key playing? It can make a chimpanzee sound like a pro jazz artist... and no other keyboard'll do it! How could you overlook that?
