great demo. nice that you first played dry and then into eventide. gives better perspective of dry tone and then interplay with reverb - which in case of K3, is nothing short of fantastic.

The look is similar to the popular Rolands and Yamahas in the '80's, but its digalog sound is different and spectacular, as the one of the Korg DW-8000 and first Ensoniqs.

Thank you, this is actually a useful demo. I like this synth, it reminds me of my JX-8P. Would you say there are some sound similarities between them?

Yes - both sounds like 80ties (production years 1983, 1986), using subtractive synthese and adding a Chorus - but they are different in other parts: DCO vs. WaveSamples, RolandFilter (IR3109) vs. SSM-Filter (2044).

Hello. I am curious about the delay effect. Is it a real delay, does this effect have any modifiable parameter?

Is this synth capabale achieving DW8000 lead type a sound? Mellow and warm but bitey? Kind regard.
@SSMCurtis3 жыл бұрын
Both share same architecture: digital waves, analog filter (DW8000 is afaik also ssm based) - I think it should be possible, but K3 has no detune in monophonic mode.

Dw has the njm2069 filter chips. Little is known about it other than that it sounds amazing. Lose alot of low end as you increase the resonance though
