Kawaii new gtr demo

Sorry for my absence, my life kind of exploded for awhile there, and Im just getting it back on track =) Heres a new guitar demo with some really cool features courtesy of Prestige guitars and True Temperament frets. (Im a bit rusty and out of tune, regrettably, but c'est la vie) Been awhile since I sang quietly but I've started practicing again to be ready for touring so I thought Id share. I am doing a streaming concert in February where I do Infinity in its entirety, so Im just started to work on that now as well.. Man, this song kills me every time I hear it… we found out we were having twins a week after my wife lost her grandfather… it was almost like he left some space in the world for them. So, any time I hear it, my first thoughts (usually happy ones) are of my kids. Sadly, thanks to COVID they’re stuck in New Zealand, and I probably won’t get to see them until April at least… so, yeah… still full of love for them and for Dev for writing this cute little tune!

Same. I tell anyone who'll listen how Devin Townsend saved my life. I've never met him, but I love him. He's my highest aspiration. Flawed, insecure, imperfect, but somehow those things he percieved as missing from himself he manages to exude and give to others. He isn't perfect by far, but he keeps trying to be just a good decent person. He's the person that I want to be someday. He's my hero. Sweet acoustic, Dev. I'm in the final hours of having been infected with COVID and quarantining. Haven't seen my family since last Monday and although I know full well that it could have been MUCH worse, it has taken a toll for sure. Thanks for your encouraging words and your gorgeous song. That's a pretty decent layperson explaination of the true temprament concept dude. It's not massively complicated. There are reasonably advanced calculations involving scale length in relation to string guage and string tension to work out the correct position for each fret but all the user really needs to know is that "it's more in tune more of the time than non-wiggly frets". :)

I went the clever route and just bought compensated nuts instead. they're SO cheap in comparison to wasting money getting the whole fretboard redone! I'll never forget the first time I played after getting it installed, suddenly hearing every chord and note in tune really messed with the notes I'd 'taught' myself to recognise, it was like everything's wrong but right at the same time, and it cost less than four packs of strings.

Hands down one of my favourite acoustic numbers by you, one of those songs you never want to end. Also great to hear the explanation around the frets, I've often wondered why it's impossible to have the basic chords all in tune - kinda knew the science behind it, but not to any depth.
