In a lot of these they’re nobles in fantasy who greatly care about their status, none of them want to be the great family that produced such a failure, it would taint their image. I mean imagine pouring work and effort into something like a gatcha game and you’ve been getting S, A’s and B rank characters. Then suddenly you get an F ranked character, you’d quickly shelve or use said character to rank up a higher tier’d one

@@PhilDavisplus I know we all hate tropes sometimes but, it’s a trope because it works and sometimes it’s better and easier to do the trope instead of some runabout way to get to the same point. For example the author could of had mc go on an expedition that gets lost in the demon realm and he’s stuck there for years but author probably didn’t want to dedicate extra chapters for that and having to explain why he went or how he got back, or maybe the author realized such a scenario would change up the personality of the character he had in his head thus it be weird, so it’s easier to just do the normal trope of “noble family kicked him out”
