Himawari is more balanced between her parents than Boruto is. Her Byakugan, her fighting style, her general appearance and her kindness all so strongly resemble Hinata. But her fighting will that she combines with her gentle fist, her courageousness, her natural inclination to lead and protect, and her whiskers ❤ are just like Naruto

Himawari was angry when her brother destroyed her fave toy. So her fury caused her to awaken her byakugan. However, after she took down her dad and tried to take down her brother. She didn't remember what happened. I think she only used her abilities when she was angry or when the situation called for it. However, as she matured more. I think she lost the ability to summon her Byakugan at 100%. Since she's still training and trying to get used to using it regularly for battles.

I think of byakugan as a set of filters each filters let you see something different when you switch between them so maybe its like a mental trigger if she focus even harder she may see chakra points

I think it would be cool if two things possibly happen. 1. funny sandman chooses her as his host, though that might cause "strains" because it would be giving more power to the leaf which might make it politically unstable. (though Kurama died so maybe not that bad) 2. She learns after some time sage mode. She's calmer than Naruto so I would imagine that she could pick it up decently fast, but I don't want her to learn it in like one episode. Also I don't remember quite how sage mode works but if I recall there are multiple ways to teach sage mode from different creatures so possibly giving her a different teacher would be cool. Sage mode gentle fist = death and taxes XD

What I said in the comment section about dark Hana getting rekt is exactly what happened, but not in an overwhelming way. lol! I was thrilled to see the teamwork that Kawaki, Himawari and Kae showcase to defeat dark Hana. I initially thought Hana was going to the one to depart from Konoha, due to her evil personality existing within her subconscious, but I’m glad that she stayed in konoha and remain as a teacher. I’d love to see some sort of continuation of Hana’s character in the future!
