Only bike I purchased off the showroom floor was a 1981 Kawasaki LTD 1000. Three speeding tickets within six months and I lost my driver's license. Loved that bike! Had to get a Harley to slow me down.

Man, I can totally relate to that. Thanks for commenting!!!

I've got an '82 1000 LTD for sale if you want to relive your glory days...

@@DaveChagnon-xu7li Interesting, I have been checking the ads for one. Did the 1982 models have fork boots? I have 4 motorcycles now. Two are Gen1 Vmax 1200 and a Gen2 VMAX 1700. Gen 2 is 200 horsepower, so I'm a bit spoiled.

Interesting problem with the clutch lever. It is great that you solved it. How can you comment the windscreen on the FJR in comparison with the one on the Concours. Thanks a lot. Got my full watch and like. :)
@JSProjectWild3 ай бұрын
Concours has better wind protection but probably because of the top attachment. I don't like the tint though. Thanks for commenting! And BTW those stubby clutch and brake levers are in the trash!

@@JSProjectWild OK. I see. I like stock levers and most things should be stock. Then you can be sure that it should do the job properly. :)

@@JSProjectWild Thank you. I've been looking at either the FJR or the Concours 14. Can't decide. I'm 6'2" about 250lbs, and I have an hour+ commute each way daily. I test rode an 06 FJR and it seemed fairly comfortable. Hard to say though since it was only maybe a 20 minute ride.

@@aaronorens9173 I have a 2012 Concours now and it fits me better than the FJR but no electronic cruise. However, if I had an hour commute and on the open road, it'd be the Wing, hands down. Thanks!

@@JSProjectWild Yeah, I had a 94 goldwing, but it got crushed under a building in a freak snow storm unfortunately. Loved the bike. I'm in california and I like to split lanes, the goldwing is a bit more cumbersome to do that on lol. I also ride through some canyons for half of my commute, so there are twisties in there. I'm so indecisive haha

The Concours is 1352cc. The Ninja ZX 14 is 1441cc.

Correct for the Concours, however, the 2006-2011 Kawasaki ZX-14 was 1352 cc (82.5 cu in) and the 2012 and up Kawasaki ZX-14R is 1441 cc (87.9 cu i9n).

What about the heat??
@JSProjectWild17 күн бұрын
Heat is not an issue with the Concours as it has the updated foam installed to help block it.
