Your video is really complete and nice. But there is something you might one to add, that the lymphadenopathy is only unilateral, not bilateral. And the conjunctivitis is non purulent. (meaning there will be no fluid discharge)

Thank you so much! I am actually in nursing school. I have a patient with Kawasaki disease, and my teacher asked me about the relationship between IVIG with Kawasaki disease which is not covered in my textbook and in other websites. I finally found it in your lecture! You saves me! thank you!

My son had this when he was 5 yrs old (1981) at this point the Dr.'s thought it was from cleaning your carpets and bringing certain mites up out of the carpet. (I had cleaned the carpets 2 times once in September and again in October- we had a puppy that was being very stubborn learning to go potty outside- this has been ruled out as a cause of Kawasaki Disease). He had all the symptoms in this video. And since there is no tests to diagnose this (especially in 1981) it took 10 days to figure out what he had. The only thing different about my son he did not have a heart attack. His heart threw 2 blood clots which made him have 2 strokes. The blood clots went up the carotid artery in the neck up behind his ears-here there the carotid artery branches off in 3 blood vessels and the blood clots lodged in the middle blood vessel. This has caused him to have a some paralysis on his left side. He is now a healthy 39 yr old. There is nothing he can not do. From being a volunteer firefighter to being a Correction Officer.

My nephew was diagnosed with Kawasaki Incomplete few weeks ago. The doctors in the hospital were once confused and doubted, because they couldn't find complete symptoms of kawasaki disease, only 3 out of them (conjunctivitis, red lips, and big swollen lymph node on the right neck under his ear). The child's fever was present on the first to seventh day, but was gone on the eighth day. He looked like ahealthy boy on this eighth day with no fever at all, but the red eyes & lips were still there. Until his blood result showed that he's got trombositosis (normal 304,000 to 524,000) and the next day was also getting increase. So, my nephew received IVIG & aspirin for his treatment, although the full signs of kawasaki disease were not there. Now, he is a healthy boy and his heart also. Thanking God for everything. Thank you for sharing your video! It is very helpful and well-explained. God bless you, sir.

Is he fully recovered now becoz my son also diagnosed with this disease and m worried plz help from India
@mariedelights61324 жыл бұрын
@@gayatrijain404 yes, my nephew recovered and he's a healthy boy, now. The IVIG vaccine should be given before reaching 10 days prior to the Kawasaki symptoms first recognised. There is always a chance to be healed completely, the sooner the doctor diagnosed, the better is the result. Hope your son will get well soon, I will be praying from Indonesia. God heals him. Blessings!

I just wondering why patients experience conjunctivitis and rashes? Because KD targets the vessels? When the very small vessels in the eyes or the extremities get inflamed then conjunctivitis and hands and feet erythema occurs?

Conjunctivitis does not mean red eyes. It means inflammation of the conjunctiva. That includes a lot more than redness.
