I have this bike in racing green, such a head turner, have had it from restricted to non-restricted. A big thing for this bike is a Delkevic exhaust. literally transformed the experience on the ninja 650!!!! still got it btw, great first sports bike - great review.

Thanks for the review. This is one of the bikes I’m looking at getting, and seeing it on roads I used to travel a lot (lived in Ripley and went up to Manchester every weekend for a while, so cruised the roads around Whatstandwell and Matlock quite a bit) has made me like it more! :)

Well, lookie here... I'm back to say I bought myself one, a 2016 plate in Kawasaki's green/black colours, and I have loved it over the last (nearly) 3 years. Great fun, and certainly fast enough as a starter "big" bike" for me. Just browsing around now and thinking about upgrading to a CBR600rr (Repsol colours, so nicely understated :D) or possibly even the Fireblade 1000rr. Can't really justify it as I only use it for commuting and the odd weekend ride... but I am so tempted!! :)

Just done two days Mod 1 training on an old ER-6F. First time I laid eyes on it I thought "what a pile of shit." But, it transpires, the ER-6F is both (surprisingly) considerably easier to manoeuvre at low speed than my MT-125 and (not at all surprisingly) so much more fun on the A/B roads. I imagine it's a great choice of bike for those who have just passed DAS, although I am finding (and I'm 5'5" with 28" inside leg, so god knows what it's like if you're a normal height or tall) the positioning of the pegs is giving me brutal knee cramps after 20-30 minutes.

It's an excellent 1st bike. I'll be honest I got an MT-10 at the end of last month because when I took the bike to the track it just wasn't powerful enough. On the road though as a 1st bike its great. My tip would be to buy one 2nd hand then if you want to trade up in a years time (like I did) it will have devalued far less.

Passed my tests (1st attempt) and put a deposit down on a brand new lime green er6f (the 0% deal was hard to ignore), fell in love with it after a test ride. Thanks again.

How much wind blast do you feel doing 60-80 mph?

It's not bad, but not great either. It is possible to raise the screen if you find it uncomfortable though.
