Kawasaki GPZ600R Ninja (1986) 🇺🇸

Bought 1985 red and white sight unseen in 85 after riding brothers 85 ninja 900. Best bike in its class in the day and beat most all 750s from the few yrs before. So many of the honda CB750s that were every where then wanted some of the ninja until it got it, then they slowly left my area.

Nothing Stays The Same. The 1985 Red Color Scheme For The 600R Was Very Eye Catching To Me. And Truely A Blur At Full Throttle. All Is Left Are Memories Or Actions' That Can Be Taken Finding These Once Full of Life Motor Bikes And Having The Vision, And Drive To Restore Them Back To What They Once Were (Yours). God's Speed 🏁

YES love my red and whit one but one down side to RED cops spotted it easy also LOL but in its day the thing looked like it was doing 135 sitting still, My bro worked on local cop bikes had one radar me on interstate he was on over pass I had 1 mile flat out run early sunday morning almost no traffic 137 on radar but I am little guy was tucked in and it was screaming. Man in 1985 a 600 topping 135 was huge, up until then 750s did not do that. early 80s 750s hated me none could catch it in straight line and no chance in curves due to less weight, me included LOL. And man so many kids in mustangs and camaros were funny. I finally quit even playing with them. Once had kid with pretty built nova on our friday night cruise spot challenge me. Would not take no for answer. I told him qrt mile for 100 bucks. We had a road in town that everyone used as we had qrt mile mapped out. Needless to say he was still smoking tires when I hit 3rd gear. he payed up and I told him lets hit interstate 40mph kick to 120 so he could get shot at money back needless to say he did not spin tires but all he saw was tail light. I let off at 130. We all gathered back at the cruise spot closed grocery store on main drag, he was nice guy and said damn that little bike is fast as F. Word got around not a huge city and no car ever even tried again LOL. AHH great memories of a missed spent youth

I had one exactly the same colour scheme, the only difference I had white wheels. I put a 4 into 1 exhaust on it and had to do a few upgrades. I had a problem one day, I was missing a cylinder and was only firing on 3. I traced the problem to the HT lead cap so I replaced the four with NGK new ones, ok after that. Great middle classed bike for the 80s era. I had 2 in the end a red one 85 and the blue 86.

@@toriespinoza9134 Thank you very much for your comments. They were nice bikes, in the earlier days Kawasaki found a problem with the GPZ model's, they called it carb iceing. There was a recall to sort the problem out. I think if you at the time went down through the gearbox quickly the back wheel would seize up. I think Kawasaki put something on the fuel line to solve the problems. I can remember all this from the 80s. Take care and safe riding my friend 👍.

Thanks For The Total Recall. This Old 600R Is Running Well And No Problems With Icing And Locking Up Thank God. I Only Use Trained Certified Mechanics When The Need Arises For This 600R And They Give This Old Bike A Nod of Approval After Work Is Done Every Time. In The Past Three Months The 600R Has Had A Clutch Adjustment, Full Valve Adjustments, And A Full Carburetor Rebuild. Not Complaining For The Needed Maintaining. I Try And Take Care of Small Thing's Before They Become Big Ones. Always Trying To Stay A Head Too. God's Speed 🏁

@@toriespinoza9134 Thanks for what you've said. It's best to keep it well maintained for best service. I hope after all this time the parts are still available. I've got a few photos of my 600Rs. When I bought the red one first I had to take it back because the exhaust rotted. It was still under warranty from the dealership but had to pay half towards a new system. It was a 4 into 1 with the main pipe coming out on the left side unfortunately I didn't have a photo of that. Take care and hope I've told you a few things about my bikes. Regards T.

Vizuelno, 500r samo nije imao rukohvat iza suvozaca. Motor 71ks, max 215 km/h. Vozio sam ga i vise, 300-400 obrtaja u crveno u VI brzini

Ne ho avuto una dell' 87. Bella ma meccanica rumorosa . Se la spremevo al massimo per un po' diventava meno rumorosa . La tolsi perché iniziava ad avere sempre più problemi.v😊
