This bike is super fun in the snow. It randomly snowed here in Texas two months ago. It did surprisingly well in the snow.

I'm 45 and my journey just started 2yrs ago. I really sucked and a ktm 300 probably wasn't the wisest choice. Best advice I can give is to really pay attention to your body position (chin over the bar) and try to stand as much as possible. Ryan Hughes and AJ Catanzaro have some really great instructional vids. If you really want to get crazy check out The IRC Tire Guy. Again it's all about body positioning, balance and muscle memory. You're going to take your lumps but if you stick with it dirtbikes are incredibly enjoyable. Keep having fun, sounded like you've got a good friend by your side!

Hey man thanks for the advice! I've been building a single track through the trees near my house and riding it multiple times a week... I'm hooked. Cornering has been the biggest learning curve for me, but the most satisfying thing to learn.

Did u have a problem with it bogging down in the beginning
@RedlineRollers4 ай бұрын
Yes it was rich as hell, loaded up really easy. Took the carb apart and lowered the float height by like 1-2mm to lean it out a bit across all the circuits

You should’ve moved your levers in. I bet they wouldn’t have broke then
@RedlineRollers2 жыл бұрын
You could be right, didnt think of that. I've already replaced them with flip out style levers.
