Top tip for you. I also was unhappy with the oem 12v price. So I bought the oem 12v accessory plug for the ninja650 which was £33 in the uk. Exactly the same. Plug and play. ;)

Great tip! Wish I would have known that. I paid the obscene price for the N1K OEM one.

Flashing lights aren't for everyone, that's for sure. There are also a lot of state laws to consider. Either way, glad you liked it!

As always thanks for the video and your recommendations. Have you stuck with the OEM exhaust. Thinking about going with the alpha series yosh slipon. Any suggestions? Want more sound but not obnoxiously loud…thx! Keep up the good work. Rubber side down.
@BlueEyedRider845 ай бұрын
I still do have the stock exhaust. I'm still deciding on what I want to do before spending the money. I really hate the unsightly stock exhaust in it's entirety so leaning towards a full system but that requires a tune which will void warranty. It may also end up being too loud, as like you, I just want a nicer tone and cleaner look, not anything obnoxiously loud. If I were to do slip ok I've been considering the akra, but I have not heard it or the yosh in person to really be able to offer a sound perspective for you. Ride safe!

@@BlueEyedRider84yeah, same isssue here, mine is a 23 model, so I may just get the slip on and go with the decat later. Don’t know why they make such a beautiful bike, then put those ugly monstrosity of a pipe on the bike.

Nice one. I have a few of those. Made a video about all the accessories I have installed on my Z1000 SX a few years ago. I'd also recommend the downpipe grille to stop stones from hitting your downpipe exhaust, and headlight protectors.
@BlueEyedRider84 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I will have to look into those, especially with all the cinders we get on the roads here during winter - rocks kick up everywhere for pretty much all of Spring until they are finally cleaned up by sweepers - usually around the end of May. I watch your stuff too, keep up the great content!

@@BlueEyedRider84 thank you! I got my grille from R&G. They're a bit of a pain to fit/adapt because they don't supply a replacement fastener for the pop rivet at the bottom where the fairing halves meet, and the OEM one is not enough to hold in place, but a cheap nylon screw and nut and a couple of washers sorted that problem out.

Frame sliders.....the main thing I use them for on my Z1000SX is to put my feet up on long rides. Edit: P.S. Heated grips are not a _'very nice thing to have'_ ...... they are the greatest invention in the history of motorcycling.
@BlueEyedRider84 Жыл бұрын
Ah, yes, the ability to stretch your legs out in a different position and allow cooler air to flow to different areas for a bit - a good use for them indeed! Hopefully never used for their intended design. For the heated grips - touché

What tail tidy do you use with the OEM side cases?
@BlueEyedRider842 жыл бұрын
The R&G - it slides in and out so you have clearance. Now, I do have an integrated tail light so I don't have to worry about the side blinkers any more and have it tucked in, but the nice thing about the R&G is it is adjustable so you can get it moved out behind the side cases. I will say it may be a problem if you get an aftermarket setup for a top case. The Ventura mount for example has the bars go right down along where the blinkers would go, so I don't think there would be any way for them to fit. However, if you are just running the panniers, it works just fine

Are your videos saved? as if you could copy 'some; to a DVD or a thumb drive? Just in case youtube went away etc. Thanks, I would be interested. Thanks, Greg
@BlueEyedRider84 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I have all of my videos archived on a custom NAS I built. However, most of the files are massive being 4k and very low compression. They range from 30GB to over 100 GB each. I'd have to reprocess them at higher compression or even lower resolution like HD to make storing multiple files on a thumb drive possible. DVD would have to be HD. BluRay disc could store a few files if I compressed them more and used quad layer discs. I don't think KZbin is going to go anywhere anytime soon, but I do appreciate knowing they are helpful enough that you'd still want them.
@savedzrex1 Жыл бұрын
The videos and work you put into them are definitely SUPER helpful and that's putting it mildly. I'm not a tech guy on the best way to save some of them. Mainly the ones for removing the body panels etc. If you think of anything let me know. it's several of the videos, not all of them. I appreciate the time. Greg @@BlueEyedRider84

@@savedzrex1 4kdownload.com has a piece of software called 4k downloader. You can just put KZbin urls in and it will download the videos to your computer. They get downloaded at KZbins quality (which is far inferior to original) but pretty decent. It's a bit slow on the download (cause they want you to buy it) but that would be the easiest, cheapest and quickest way to get videos. I may put together a library purchase option or something and make a site for it down the road, but for now that's my best suggestion. If that doesn't work for you I'll see what I can do to get something put together for you and dropped in the mail.

Awesome, I briefly looked at the various KZbin recorders and so many are scams or could open up for malware etc. I'm limited with my tech knowledge for sure! I'm not sure how did get you my email or info? I saw this pop up on my phone, came back in the house to type this on my PC. I'm doing a garage cleaning. I'll check back later. Thank you.... :)@@BlueEyedRider84
