Happy birthday Tony, I have also got the central gps mount which came with the tourer pack. I use this for a sat nav,but have fitted a ball ram on the left side switchgear ,i have removed the plastic blank and the ball ram and quadlock fit really good.

Thanks mate, yeah one con that I can think of having your phone on the bike is if u fall off u ideally need ur phone on you, in case your really injured and the bike is 100 foot down the road. Im thinking of routing my phone through the Tom Tonm rider 550, so can use screen to answer calls and also have phone in pocket.

Just Subbed to the page mate, From NI Toured Scotland and the lake district quite a bit and was going to your neck of the woods before Covid hit. I did the same as you as have a 2017 Z1000sx with the mount from Bob, Sadly the vibration was a bit much as it kept coming loose .Got longer well nuts which helped a bit but gave up and got and old sat nav mount and stuck the quad lock to that, Gad it loads of places on the bike and found you will go through loads of power leads get the wired power lead from Quad lock it helps a lot, I have my Gopro on my lid to but also have it mounted to the bike on the mirror stem and always charged using a QC3.0 dual charger socket that fits nicely into the socket, It is super fast and will charge a phone up ultra quick , Mine is dynoed , Decatted with the dual Akros

Thanks for the sub mate, not had any vibration on my mount yet, however U have found a mount from evotech that bolts in the same place as the nav mount so might try that. Cant decide wether to dyno mine or not tbh, got told wouldnt add much power 5hp maybe, more than likely will just smooth the rev range out better. Quite happy with the bike as it is atm, gonna swap the exhaust soon. Thanks for the comments keep them coming 👍🏻

@@THETURBOTONY Yeah I got a second hand mount from Fleabay Bolys on and the Quad lock to that also have the sat nav mounted from the screen, If you do decide to get the pipes Check out the Kawasaki Z1000SX & H2SX site on facebook Lextek dealer on there for slight discount. TBH honest the gain in HP for me was 6 The bike does feel it has a lot better crisper response pulls throughout the range. I love it and asked was it worth it. Yeah it was for me and the main thing was none of that on off throttle which some people do not know what I mean when I say that until u rode it side by side on a an normal bike

The new Ninja 1000sx isnt as harsh on the throttle as the z1000 previous, rode both. Im in that fb group mate plenty of great people in there I talk too regular. Bennets Insurance always have big discount codes too. Just awaiting more videos of the new ninja to see which sounds best without been too loud. Lol

I have the Ninja but with the touring kit, you get a the Kawasaki mount and having used both, there is no comparison, the OEM fixing is superior in every way. But I guess each to their own. Awesome bike though .. .and belated happy b'day

Yes with the Touring kit you get the Gps mount, I do have the gps mount, however most of the comments I get are from users that have not got the Tourer kit. I think if you are just wanting to use a phone and no gps the quadlock mount is better for that purpose.

Quadlock says in the manuel u get with them stem kit it does not fit hex hole or lip holes. If u mess u can get it to grip but it wont last it will come loose after a while.

Late happy birthday to you. Why do you combine different products? Maybe, your combination is cheaper, but Quadlock has already a stem mount as a full set. I have it on my Ninja1000SX together with the Quadlock vibration dampener.

Good question and thanks, basically As I said in the video, the quadlock stem mount is not made for the kawasaki, the quadlock is made for a round stem hole without a lip, the kawasaki Hole is not a stem hole its an allan key hole that has a lip on the inside. If you get an allan key big enough to fit the Hex shape you can untwist the top revealing the stem hole underneath, the stem undet is too big for the quadlock system hence the video. Many like yourself have managed to dodgily fit the quadlock improper. If you read the instructions you got with your product it specifically states this.

@@THETURBOTONY OK, I got it, thanks for answering. Nevertheless, I have the same bike and I was successfull to mount it directly into the hex shape without any change on it or on the mount. Honestly, it was a bit fiddly, but hasn't become loose for 1600km now. Can provide a photo.

@@THETURBOTONY One hint: my mobile got trouble with its picture stabilizer and I think it was about the vibration from the bike. Hence I bought the vibration dampener from Quadlock and added it to the mount. My impression is, it decouples well from bike vibration.

Yeah the vibration will break your image stableizer on your phone, especially Iphones. You wouldnt have that trouble with the Telferizer mount in this video due to the rubber bottom. I have also added the vibration harness of quadlock just to make sure. So there is a bunch of people trying to claim from Quadlock at the moment for the damage, you could try email them and start a complaint.

Hi, so the mount kit from quadlock is ment to fit a round stem hole. The kawasaki is a Hex allan key hole not a stem hole. The quadlock mechanism wont grip. The Telferizer is rubber and will squeeze tight to fit the odd hex hole. Hang fire im sure he will get back to you.
