Honestly this is a great thing for the sport period! Of coarse I'm cheering for rv but the bigger picture is the awesome racing and more viewers the gp's will get from the US side of the pond. Personally I like the gp's I would've watched anyway, this just makes it that much better and I'm for anything that helps the sport grow in any way....o yeah, rv will win the championship, maybe not every race but he'll get the number 1 plate

RV still looks like he doesn't enjoy riding. Does he ever smile or break out of his business mindset? Yes, this dude is crazy talented...and yes, as an american I will be pulling for him to win this championship...but it just seems like he's simply over riding and racing. And that's a huge factor for winning. Quite frankly, I have my doubts that he will be able to go over there, adapt in one year, and win the mxgp. Prove me wrong RV.

He seems to enjoy it. Its not because he isn't smiling in that video that he don't to ride in Europe...

I do agree that he often gives that vibe, but everyone has a different way of conducting themselves. Having understanding of what Ryan is really like with spending a couple days getting to know him, he really is just that intense about every aspect of his life. This just leads me to believe that he has fun but just does not express it as well as others, that being said I am sure the amount of fun over the years has depleted. Although, if he did not want to pursue the MXGP title he would not have; definitely some interesting thoughts.

Go check him and his wife out on Instagram if you have one; they seem to be much happier. I think he seems more relaxed in his interviews, but still driven to perform. He has nothing to prove and he wanted to step away from the American scene. Nothing wrong with that. Many riders aren't happy with the industry here.

***** Did you ever watch MXGP ? Antonio Cairoli, for exemple, is faster than Ryan Dungey (as well as Villopoto is faster than RD) and consistent too. And there's few other guys than could ride up front in the US outdoors if they wanted to come. Don't underestimate those guys, the level in MXGP and US outdoors is pretty much the same now.

i just dont get it ? don't they get more money racing supercross then mxgp ?
@bradpattinson292210 жыл бұрын
I'm not too sure as mxgp is a lot bigger in Europe but he didn't go over for the money, he was sick of riding supercross. If he didn't move on to mxgp he would have quit all together.

Villopoto entered this sport in diapers. I don't think he will have trouble adjusting. Gonna be some great racing, I can tell you that. He charges and is very aggressive. Great rider to watch.

***** RV says the opposite , tracks in USA are easier and faster ...euro tracks more difficult and technical .....thats why he is having some problems to adjust , does make sense he ? lol
