Moto Morini cannot be compared as they still have a long way to go in Indian market. CF Moto has a horrible reputation here in States in many states due to poor dealership and after sales spare related experience. Being Chinese built, the moto Morini looks great but is yet to understand the requirements of Indian market. I'd only chose Moto Morini over versys if I don't mind selling it within months. Better stick to Japanese as per my experience on owning few bikes back in India as well as here in States.

Im living in the Netherlands and currently owning tiger sport 660. Before i had honda cb500x. Have driven vstorm 650 and versys 650. The cb500x was an extremely good and a perfect all rounder with sufficient power but looked like a normal bike have done trips to germany with big companions and its easy to copeup with them because of its versatility. Versys 650 felt the top heaviness and too much weight to handle in standstill. Vstorm was very excellent, comfortable , loved the vtwin power but the only thing is outdated looks. Having triumph tiger sport 660 now its a very powerful engine , nice handling and a good tourer with replacement of stock screen. And as you stated the heat emission is more compared to the three (most of 3/4 cylinders behaviour) and 150 mm of ground clearance(definitely not adventure) . So these two cons definitely not suitable for indian road conditions . Very good review keep up the great work 👍

Versys are very top heavy unfriendly riding experience and Dunlop tyres are scary when you ride even on normal roads, plus it's boring to ride a versys with low power. Triumph is puny and pricey plus dicey service experience where 9/10 are bad experiences from owners, and it's so hot you can't practically ride it unless you're in Switzerland. I think Suzuki is the best to go and choice it ticks all the boxes and better mileage than all big and amazing bike
@brendonfernandes28772 жыл бұрын
Calling a Versys as low powered when it can touch 190 kph is a bit much. If you are riding on the track its a bit underpowered but for the roads it has much more power than anyone will ever need. The Dunlop tyres aren't the best for sure but they are not so bad either. Mine are already at 12k kms and I just did a 600 km round trip without issues. Not a single puncture either so far. And the engine has the best heat management amount the 650cc class of motorcycles. You want to know what heat is ride the Tiger 660. The VStrom is so much more expensive that you can service the Kawasaki bike for 5 years, travel for multiple trips and still pay less than what a new Suzuki VStrom costs. And talking about mileage when you are considering such expensive bikes is probably the silliest thing I can think off. If you are so concerned with mileage go and tour on a Splendor.

@@brendonfernandes2877 compare this with vstrom and 660 that’s what I felt on normal roads. I own a Vstrom after riding a versys for over a year did over 5000+ kms on it. Hence my comment. It’s not about how fast it can go it’s about how much torque and power you got in the bends, mountains and bad roads.. versys fails in relative performance with vstrom and 660. On its own it’s a great bike
@brendonfernandes28772 жыл бұрын
@@MaddyAnand The VStrom makes 6% more power than the Versys. Maybe the gearing of the Versys didn't suit your needs but calling a bike that makes 6% less power underpowered is the most ridiculous thing you can say. The Tiger 660 makes 20% more power than the VStrom so that's at least a significant difference in performance. 6% simply isn't any real meaningful difference in the real world. Given the substantial price difference between the Versys and VStrom you can flash the ecu of the Versys to change the character of the engine a bit and still save a lot of money.
@MaddyAnand2 жыл бұрын
@@brendonfernandes2877 I guess you haven’t ridden the bike. 6% can be averaged out during power output calculations. There is something called torque as well. Power output varies with rpms. Versys is relatively top heavy as well as under powered. Only now they got traction control which vstrom had since a long time. It’s a known fact now that versys has more shortcomings than that of versys if you google enough around or ask riders. you may argue to all that you may fancy or to fill your whim to the brim but facts won’t change. Looks like you favour the bike and hence biased towards it. I rest my case and conclude vstrom is way better than versys.

The Adjustment numbers on the clutch lever on a Kawasaki Versys 650 isn't for quickly adjusting the clutch cable. It's for adjusting the lever position. What you mentioned about the Kawasaki's headlight management is true, but you only mentioned the half of it. When the engine is fired on and then switched off using the kill switch, the engine switches off, but not the headlight, so in a way, its just like the Triumph and the Suzuki, though they stay on irrespective of engine is on or not. So, in a nutshell, all the 3 bikes have a useless engine kill switch as one HAS to switch off the engine with the key itself when stopping at traffic signals in order to save the battery.

While I liked the Versys the older V Strom is more comfortable, smoother and the gearbox is slicker. I also found the bike more flickable because the centre of gravity is lower. 👍

U guys need a better camera, cinematographer and post processing person. The color of video and sharpness is totally off, no contrast which feels like the RAW footage has been edited without white balance or color correction. The highlights are clipped and seems the camera setting was incorrect. Or maybe a wrong camera altogether.

You didn't cover the most important aspect of an ADV motorcycle - Off-roading capabilities. Without which, it does not deserves the ADV tag
@brendonfernandes28772 жыл бұрын
There is nowhere mentioned that an ADV has to do off roading. The 17 inch wheels means two of these bikes are meant for long distance touring on roads and they have enough ground clearance to ride on bad roads as well. Hardly anyone in India does true off roading. Just riding on paved trails is barely off roading

A Kawasaki Versys 650 isn't expensive to maintain (in AMERICA). But the V-Strom is still cheaper.

Honda 500X...yes i know the probable reactions.... BUT!!! Its a serious contender 1. Mileage equal Range means less carrying fuel. 2. Power is more than enough for Indian touring conditions. 3. Sevice costs never above 2.5k. 4. Bigwing Honda now everywhere. 5. Indian components NIL. 6. Name HONDA means dependable. 7. Remember Hondas are for around the world trips. 8. Cons..... Just not advertised well, not owned by many Lastly kerb weight 199 kgs what?? P.S Im a proud owner of one

Did you know the Cb500x is way more expensive in India than it is in Europe? Look it up...
@brendonfernandes28772 жыл бұрын
The Honda is a great machine but it's price is unpalatable in India given you get much more powerful bikes for a little bit more. I mean if 45 bhp is enough for you why not save a ton of money and go for the ktm adventure 390 which is far cheaper than the Honda while making similar power and having a hundred service center more for every one Honda Big wing? Or just go for an Xpulse as power is more than enough for Indian touring conditions as you mentioned?
@mickleblade2 жыл бұрын
@@brendonfernandes2877 it depends on your usage, a ktm390 would be bad for 130kph, the Honda is just about ok
@brendonfernandes28772 жыл бұрын
@@mickleblade Why is the Ktm bad at 130 kph? My friend who owns one regularly cruises at 140 kph on his ktm in Germany. Both have similar power figures and the ktm is lighter as well

Ah you had mentioned Versys before and I was confused wondering when the Versys was being updated. Yeah since Suzuki are changing the engine itself hopefully it's a nice big upgrade. Unfortunately with the upgrade the already stiff price will become even steeper.
