The Versys 650 has always had upside down forks. Since 2006

Exactly even my KLE650A (1st Gen Versys) from 2008 has them. It has been present from the getgo.

@@Freakie1NL From 2006 - 2009 the Versys 650 was virtually unchanged. (Except for new color options, from year to year). The Versys 650 was introduced in 2006 to European & Asian Markets only. Those motorcycles are made in Thailand. 🇹🇭 In 2007 the Versys 650 made it’s debut, in the USA. Those motorcycles were made in Japan. 🇯🇵

@@awoods3554 v strom better built with more given in standard trim and tracer is better in handling and engine although it lacks in areas where the kawasaki is better such as standard seat comfort
