Kawasaki Voyager VN1700 Engine Coolant Additive for a cooler running engine.

Everyone I talk to says the Voyagers run hot. It was "too hot" when looking at the temperature gauge while using my bike on a hot summer's day.
Adding the free flowing slip-ons to the exhaust system helped a bit and after the ECU re-flash from Ivan's Performance, it ran cooler and the cooling fans came on earlier. Aside from using "Engine Ice" radiator fluid when I eventually flush and refill the cooling system, I figured there was a way I could add something to my current coolant that would help.
So I used an additive and it says the temp would decrease by 15 to 20 degrees. After running the bike for a couple hundred miles or so I found that it worked so I wanted to post this video to show other riders there's inexpensive help with the cooling issue on these big Kawasaki bikes.

I have 2022 Voyager…I have not done the Ivan’s flash due to warranty concerns. Thanks for this helpful way to try to help the bike run cooler. I have already added this Water Wetter as you demonstrated 👍

After a few rides I saw the difference. Engine Ice collant is the way to go and something I will do when I change out my coolant in the future. Yeah, I even have the 6 year extended warranty but the place I purchased my bike from just looks the other way when it comes to the Ivan's Flash because they know it makes the bike run and perform the way it should have from the factory.

Hey Tank - I have a 2014 Voyager, just got it, has 16K miles. Plan on doing Ivan’s flash when he’s back in Sep. Let us know if you can tell a difference in temp. According to all I’ve read, Ivan’s ECU mod was supposed to keep temp no more than half-way?

It goes just a hair over halfway unless your stopped for a long time and at 100 degrees like down here in Florida but it never goes anywhere near what it use to. Ivan makes the fans come on earlier too which is a big help. This additive brought it to halfway instead of a hair over. They say it's normal but I don't like seeing high temps on the gauge.I even modified my Vmax with a new thermal switch to make the fan come on early where Ivan was able to do this through the ecu. Just be aware, the Ivan Flash will really change your bike! For the better! You are going to love it. Thanks for the comments.
