Wow, so easy one can do it with one hand!😀 I subscribed and I’m watching for your continued adventures with this system. This bike is on my radar because of this fitting system!

Appreciate the Sub! I did another video on the pegs and shifter connection swap out as well just recently. The change made a huuge difference. I love the bike now. Before the changout was super uncomfortable, now, just went on a 3hr ride with friends the other day and was nice and comfortable (with the seat, pegs and shifter changed). I may still do the handlebars, but waiting until I finish my shed project (also videos on thay!) So I can get my garage back and air condition it. Going to be rehabbing my 2002 750 Shadow ACE then too. But back to the 650s, awesome bike, quick, nimble and all around good fun. Get nods from the sports bikes and cruisers on it which is rare 😂. My only "complaint" is the super quiet factory exhaust. I did the baffle drill mod, but plan on a new exhaust system when $ permits. I want a deeper sound if possible on the sport bike motor. There's a couple options out there for it, some make it obnoxiously loud others just make it sound better and louder. A loud bike is a safe bike IMO.

SO much more comfortable for a taller person. Hate the price, love the result. Shifter extender install coming soon along with first person POV while riding!

Excellent video. I'm 6 ft 2 and 300 lb. And I'm buying a pre-owned 2020 Vulcan s soon. I don't know what the seller has it set up for, I need to ask him does the tall rider extension kit include all the parts for that price you're talking about? I'm in Florida too, I'm in miami. How about you
@MotoGamingDad4 күн бұрын
The seat, shifter bar and handlebars are all sold separately unfortunately. I believe the seat was around $400 (think I listed in description but not sure), shifter bar was like 10$. I didn't do the handlebar change out (that one has standard and long) and I think it was just over $200 (only I believe a 1-2" difference and slightly different angle). If I kept the bike I woulda done the handle change out as well though, longer rides like 1hr+ I could start to feel it in my shoulders cause the angle wasn't right. And I'm on the other (Gulf) coast. Lol

Hoping you still have the parts. Just bought one for a tall person. Im short.

I do actually still have the parts for the shorter reach. The seats and the shifter rod anyways, haven't done the handlebar changeout.

@@MotoGamingDad to be clear. This is a reduced. So the smallest one? Not the standard mid reach??

Ya it's the smallest one. Guy I bought the bike from bought it new and had the smallest stuff in cause he was 4'10" lol

was the seat hard to slide on? i’m finding it grips the leather on the front of it
@MotoGamingDad Жыл бұрын
It gave me some trouble at first, I had to rearrange the angle alittle. When I tried to slide it forward while pressed all the way down, it got hung up, when I lifted alittle and pressed forward it went right into place.

Does this Ergo Fit also work for a 2018 model?
@MotoGamingDad3 ай бұрын
As far as I know, yes. Just double check part numbers. I believe the 16-18 are the same parts. I went to Kawasaki's website to confirm parts before I ordered since the seats so dam expensive. Lol

Thank you for your quick reply, much appreciated! I just came of a Yamaha Bolt, which too cramped for me. Test riding a 2018 Vulcan S tommorow. Might even dump the Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 for it, if it ticks the boxes, mainly the ergonomics!

thanks for ur video. i thought that the seat position can be changed before watching. greedy kawasaki just wants us to spend more money.
@MotoGamingDad Жыл бұрын
That's what I originally though too until I started looking into it. :/ I will say, it was 100% worth the $ to me though for how much it improved the riding comfort. I imagine an adjustable seat would be hard to engineer (or expensive?) and make as sturdy as a fixed seat. Wish it was less $ than it is, but appears to be a quality seat at least.

If you buy the bike new there is no charge for the seat, pegs and handlebars.
@MotoGamingDad7 ай бұрын
True enough, they'll get you one setup to the reach you want. Unfortunately I bought mine used from a guy that is 5' 2", and I'm 6'3". Lol so he had the shortest reach options, I needed the longest reach. 🤷🏻♂️
@rickreid58967 ай бұрын
Ouch. Lol. Its worth the money then. Also, its a better seat.

@@rickreid5896 was definitely worth the money. Before, after 30mins my back and shoulders hurt. Now it's good for over an hour before getting sore (and it's my ass not my shoulders lol)

@SHENR0N I don't currently have it for sale, but I'm not against selling it either. I've got the rear seat that goes with it as well since the longer reach system needed a new rear seat as well.

6' 3", so the shorter reach seat was really uncomfortable after just a short ride. The extended reach seat made it MUCH better. I have the extended shifter and I'll be adding that with a video soon, still debating whether I'm going to swap out the handlebars though.
@inkjnk Жыл бұрын
@@MotoGamingDadI just put the extended seat and shifter on. Im 6’4” and it still feels a little tight but I can extend my legs fully with my Achilles resting on the leg now which is nice before it would be on my calf area
@MotoGamingDad Жыл бұрын
Ya, I've had the shifter for weeks now, but haven't had a chance to pop it on yet. I'm guessing I'm going to want the handlebars done too, just the seat made a huge difference but any lengthy ride quickly turns uncomfortable for my shoulders. I think the angle of the extended reach handlebars may help. Who knows. Lol

@@MotoGamingDadI’m 6,2 and can’t imagine that bought this with shortest settings. I tried it in standard setting and it’s too small for me, if I’m getting one I’ll get the extended pegs (looks like a 20min job).. try that out and if I’m not comfortable I’ll close my eyes and use my credit card for a extended seat Extended seat should also have better comfort by having more or different padding

@@zwichI just did the shifter rod and the pegs yesterday, went for a good 3hr ride with some friends today.. and it made a HUGE difference. The short position sh*t felt like I was a hunchback after 20mins. The pegs and seat made it 100% more enjoyable. I may still do the handlebars at some point, but I am now happy with the comfort on the bike. :) Video showing shift tie rod and peg modification coming soon for those needed help. It really is an EASY process and the tie rod is like $10-$15 if I recall correctly.
