Great vid mate!! I had the older one 2014 and now have the new 2019 model. These are awesome machines for the money. Super comfortable and very practical. I changed the rear sprocket with the alloy/steel hybrid and went up 2 teeth, changed the battery for a lithium and installed Akro exhaust. It’s quicker and lighter now, performance the way it should be. All the best and ride safe!

Yea this ain’t no R model, they have a little more torque, but lack that blistering 200hp top end the race bike has, but these are king of the streets in the 1/4 mile, but after that the horse power win’s out and the super sport blows around them, and that’s even if they got a good jump or even start to! But I’m buying the up right model myself to old to be doubled over on a full race bike can’t enjoy it anymore that way. I just want comfort 80% of the time and 9’s and the strip is that to much to ask! 😂 maybe I need a H2 SE

It has already most torquest 1000 cc 4 cylinder at low rpms...such a short gearing, it pulls amazing as video, I think passenger ang extra luggage is not problem anywhere on mountains or somewhere

I just got this bike...with only 150 KM on the odo, Ive just started getting familiar with it. Looks like low rpm torque is excellent, 6th gear lugs cleanly on speeds as slow as 30kmph. But coming from KTM duke 390 as my ride till now....when I feel its time to shift gear up, it is actually at only 20- 25% of rev limit. If the bike had only 2 gears - 2nd and 6th, I could still ride it easily.

It was totally stock. The windscreen was in the lowest position. And btw I'm only 172cm and 60kg :D Maybe a few km/h can depend at tire type and tire pressure. Also air temperature and pressure (altitude) have an Impact on the engine power. Also if the chain is new and lubed…. And the surface on the road…. so many factors of influence :D ciao et saluti in italia :)

I forgot to add that at the time I ran my top speed I had installed a different rear sprocket on the bike. I had 2 less teeth with the hopes of a higher top speed. Seems it didn't help. My best in the 1/4 mile (at an actual drag strip) was 11.00 @ 126+ mph. It dynoed at a best of 123 hp at the rear wheel.

with some Tuning 285 at the speedo could be possible. In stock it's only limited to its lower transmission and therefor rev limiter. With longer Transmission and without any tuning I guess it can do About 265-270 at the speedo.

I also own a 2012, stock besides a full exhaust but without ECU Flashing. My rear tire it's a 190/55/17, stock gearing, I've reached 263 km/h on the speedo with it.

it's pretty stable in the corners but also agile. But you better test by your own ;)

Mine is heavy in the corners, although the 2020 model has some changes with the fork position to help it feel lighter in the corner. These bikes are big and heavy for a 1000cc class bike. Although its not a racing bike its a sports touring. Also I get 3k miles max on a set of tires

If you want it to be agile in the corners and less heavy, just change your rear tire to 55 instead of stock 50, so big difference, like bike lost 50 kg.

Well..I do like when a bike can sit at higher speeds 140mph without redlining the engine but for a sports tourer the idea is to you are going for a long journey and maybe carrying panniers anyway you want torque and usability but people always look at power like "this one better" when making a purchase unfortunately.

this bike is stock without a speeed limiter. It only runs into rev limiter in 6th gear. I can tell you that NO street bike with 143hp can hit 300km/h GPS. But can you show me the video please?

If referring to my comment, I was in a good tuck position with the shield down as far as it would go. I stayed on the throttle fully until a curve approached on the roadway. There just wasn't any more speed going to happen. 151 mph is about 245 kph I think.

I don't know :D But maybe Kawasaki chose the shorter transmission go get better roll on in high gears. And normally with a naked bike you don't go often for topspeed on Autobahn

@@mototop_ I mentioned the GSX-S 1000 FA version. Yes, kawasaki's gear ranges are short and fast enough. I think there should still be a setting that allows a speed of 275 km/h. But I think the kawasaki 20 kilos heavier response would not be able to give the desired response at top speeds

Something is wrong with numbers on this video. On your other video ZH2 accelerates much faster but it's slower on 1/8 and on 1/4 mile then Z1000. That doesn't sound right.

MotoTop see on my channel vid with z1000 2011. I ve done slower start, but 0-100 was 3,2 sec and quarter of mile was 11,088 only. There were laser sensors on start and finish places. It s great if you can run over 10 sec, but I think you must use Dragy gps logger to know truth time for quarter.

Kawasaki made it even worse after 2017 so many damn restrictions I think z1000sx is gonna be gone soon and most likely kawasaki want to sale their ninja H2 SX models and that's a beast machine except for the damn sitting position i wish it was like z1000sx but unfortunately it's lower and that puts me off so I'm gonna go with used z1000sx maybe 2018 even with all those restrictions
