Good bike for use in the city. Not that wide, so going between cars should be no problem (depending on the width of the lanes). Fuel... depends on how you ride it. Think it was around 1 liter per 25 kilometers with my riding style.

+zand89 I did a testride on a Ninja 300 about 2 years ago. The Z300 is a naked Ninja 300 with a different steer. It's more or less the same, one is with fairing, the other one without. I like them both as much.

Can I ask how you removed the db killer from the exhaust? I tried every possible way, but can't remove it.

MGOniciuffo It's not my bike, borrowed it from the importer for about a week. They had it already removed. I've only seen the location of where the nut and bolt of the dB-killer should be. Probably the nut and bolt have been welded together, so you can't remove the dB-killer without using something like a Dremel (rotary tool) on the welded area. Maybe you can send an email to Akrapovic and ask them for info? I'm sorry I can't help you.

Ik denk dat ie erg klein is voor je. Met jouw lengte is het wat lastiger een fatsoenlijke motor te vinden. Je zou eventueel ook even allroads moeten proberen. Denk aan een Kawasaki Versys-X300 (zelfde blok als deze Z300), Suzuki V-Strom 650, Kawasaki Versys 650, Yamaha XT660Z Ténéré etc. Al eens bij een motorzaak op diverse motoren gezeten?

als je bij de standaard Z300 zelf de akrapovic er onder gooit moet de motor daarna dan nog opnieuw afgesteld worden of is dit niet nodig? bvb dank!

Voor zover ik weet is het alleen een demper bij de Z300/Ninja 300, dus dan is afstelling over het algemeen niet nodig. Vervang je ook de bochten, dan is afstelling meestal wel nodig om 'm perfect af te stellen qua Air/Fuel-ratio. Wil je het echt zeker weten, vraag het dan even na bij een Kawasaki-dealer.

About 1 liter per 25 kilometers with Akrapovic slip-on. But this is with my riding style, which is not too slow. I don't know the fuel consumption for the stock exhaust.

Het geluid zonder killer valt erg mee. Is het legaal? Waarschijnlijk niet, zal de politie er moeilijk om doen? Alleen in de steden waar ze er streng op controleren. Maar nogmaals; zonder killer valt het bij deze motor echt mee. Op mijn eigen motor en bij vele andere motoren wil je niet zonder killer rijden. Dat gaat dan veel te hard, bij de Z300 klinkt het beschaafd en mooi donker.

Dat ligt er aan hoe snel ik 'm van de importeur mee kan krijgen (of een Kawasaki-dealer). Ik hoop eind april iets te hebben, maar heb nog helemaal geen concrete data m.b.t. demo's om mee te nemen. Maar lees gerust het Ninja 400 verslag en ga dan uit van een naked bike die iets comfortabeler zit en een iets lagere top heeft. Ik durf 'm blind te kopen zonder proefrit, maar ik zat er van het weekend op en denk wel dat ie wat minder prettig zit bij de knieen als je 1.90m bent (ivm kappenpartij van de radiateur). Met 1.80m zit ik er erg goed op.

Met seat cover is ie 2x zo snel! :) Nee, die slip-on uitlaat gaat weinig uitmaken, dat is meer voor het geluid. Akrapovic levert nog wel een not-street-legal bochtenset en dat geeft 'm nog iets van 3kW extra (weet niet of ze demper meerekenen). Al met al voor A2 echt een fijne machine en voor de ervaren rijder ook nog leuk zat. De boetes worden jaarlijks toch ook steeds duurder en drempels worden uit de grond gestampt en genoeg 60km-zones ipv 80km/u. Niets mis met een A2-motor tegenwoordig. Maar goed, blijf het kanaal een beetje in de gaten houden en als de Z400 filmpjes verschijnen, kan een test niet heel erg lang meer duren.

Sound I don't know (probably not different), performance with full system will be better, because you change the entire exhaust system. If you change the entire exhaust system, it is in most cases required to make adjustments to the fuel management. For the Z300 it will probably take a fuel controller like a power commander to work better. In rare cases manufacturers have got specific ECU mappings for a specific exhaust brand. I think it is called the Slip-On Line (Carbon) Z. There is also a titanium model. For Carbon the article number is S-K3S01-HZC, for titanium S-K3S01-HZT.

From what i hear it's not much different from bigger cc 2 cylinder bikes. I have an er6n (650cc) and it sound a bit louder than that, but the z300 is already pretty great and it's a damn blast to use in tiny roads/cities, that thing rides like a bicycle and in terms of power it's not that bad
