Those carbs are such a nightmare to get back in that I went to pod filters. I couldn't care less if I lost a few HP because a full exhaust and jet kit add so much HP anyways

I have a 2003 ZRX 1200, its a great bike but those carbs are a pain in the ass, had to pull them to change fuel line and will be putting pods on if I ever have to take them off again

So when you clean the carbs initially did you put a full service kit on them or just change the float bowl gaskets ? I’m asking as I have just picked up an 1100 had supposedly the calves cleaned, but I’ve got a few leak from somewhere but speaking to the bloke that cleaned them he didn’t use any new parts

Haha thanks, it's an ultrasonic cleaning machine with special ultrasonic carb cleaner inside, absolutely safe for the aluminium and rubbers 👌

Hi, I explained it in the first video I made about this bike, I used an old number plate or whatever thin plate as a guide to slide the carbs in or you could also press the airbox rubbers in but then it's a bit difficult to get them out again. Thin metal plate between the carbs and airbox rubbers works well😉
