This may help someone with a ZX14. My 2011 ZX14 with 7500 miles was cutting out when I go full throttle at low rpm. I did a tune up, sync the throttle bodies (I want ever sync them again. Big waste of time. I kinda thought it was before I did it.) Change the fuel pump because the filter was very dirty. Took it to 2 Mountain Motorsport dealers and they could not even see a problem with the bike. I'm now at 11,000 miles and a guy on my channel, told me to replace the pressure sensor aka map sensor at the motor. The bike run much better and now I can slow down to 50 or 60 mph and build speed again without down shifting.

You said in another video that preload doesn't affect rebound damping. I know I need softer springs in front, because I only get 31mm of sag with all the preload removed. I have to add a lot of rebound damping to get the front forks to not pogo, but then it seems to rebound to slowly.

So essentially all the pre load in, compression dampening at 6 clicks out, open rebound dampening all the way. For fat guys on stock suspension on the gen1. Thanks!

I'm 155-lbs... The light rider mod on a ZX-14R is nice. :)

@@Land-Shark that's what I need! I just bought a brand new ZX-14 and I only weigh 142 lb it's way too stiff. I may have to get the Ohlins front forks with the 9.0/9.0 Springs to set my bike up correctly. : (

Dave really knows his stuff, I like watching him tune susps, and Im trying to pick up on what he does, so I can apply that to my own bike, but I guess I need someone with the know how to help me out cause I need to be seated on the bike with my leathers on to get the proper adjustments, does Dave go to only certain events, and would he work on anyones bike?

Where can I have custom springs made for the front . And any suggestions on a podium shock for the back. It seams ELKA has stopped building shocks for motor cycles

I had race tech springs and gold valve emulators put on my 2000 honda cbr600f4 around 2006. They were rated for my weight. The p.o. had cupped the front tires because the stock suspension from factory is usually set up for 120 lb rider from the factory and we were both 200+ lbs.

I would suggest watching some Dave Moss Tuning videos, particularly on ergonomics.
