Yours is an A2 ZX12R, I have one identical.. I think yours is just a late registration on an ‘05 plate. The registration plate doesn’t necessarily dictate the age of the bike. Mine is on an ‘04 plate, but is definitely an A2 model, usually registered around ‘01 I think.. The screen on yours is aftermarket. The oem screen is clear and has Kawasaki written at the bottom, and is not a double bubble. My 12R only has 4900 miles, I have a full Ti Akrapovic exhaust fitted to mine, but I have the oem exhaust system stored away. 😊 The 12R is still an amazing bike, even today! Nice video 👍🏼

Hi, thanks for the info appreciate it, really like the bike as well I’m a tall guy 6.5 and the zx12r is the only “sports bike” I can ride relatively comfortably , 4900 is barely run in that is awesome 👌🏻 love the Akrapovic exhaust they are very nice, I bought a clear screen I still need to fit it don’t mind the dark ones look but it’s impractical when tucked in behind it can’t see much threw it so will do that and some other bits in another video 👍🏻

Hey nice I have the 2001 in the blue colour scheme had since new, looking at yours you also have the 2000/2001 model the early models had the ram air system like the f16 jet fighter which yours and mine have. Any way have a look at the builders plate on frame on the steering stock left hand side.

@@Crashanburn-j4k hi, thank you for the reply on the logbook it says it is a 2005 but I will investigate as there are a few things that are not adding up I mean the bike has no problems loving it just want to know what is what with it 🏁👍🏻

Hi, it seems odd that your bike is listed as 2005. The fairings on that bike suggest it is a 2001 'A model' bike as they only did the 'green tear' livery for that year. Furthermore, 2002-2006 models are called 'B models' and have an edgier design (in terms of the front end headlights, screen, ram air etc). There are also subtle nit picky differences like the front fork lowers - they're supposed to be 'radially mounted calipers 'and are bronze in colour on a 2005. Yours are 00-01 fork lowers as they are silver and have the older 'axial' style of caliper mounting. Maybe it was a 2001 bike with the frame swapped to an 05? Hope this helps!

That's a 2001. Besides the obvious and less obvious usual details or the VIN, one of the big giveaways is the swing arm. Mostly the base part where the shock goes thru..
