for all of ya folks out there: this is essentially buying an kaweco sport clip with a nice extra pen. The clip fits on my kaweco even better than the knock off itself lol

I must say I have some opinions against knock offs. But also angers me the fact that I have a 5 dolars Jinhao that writes way better than some 100$ famously branded pens. This KwK of yours seems to be really good, and for 3usd+shipping you know...
@Doodlebud4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I hear ya. Infuriating when you spend significant money on a pen & it doesn't writes as well as a $6 special. Tough to say no at that price for this little guy!

I have three of these Sport knock-offs. They're not 100% copies. They are a little longer than the Kaweco sport models, and thus they do take a converter which the Sport will not. I have it in the antique brass you show here, a shiny chrome that came by mistake and was not the one I ordered, and a brushed chrome. All EF (of course!). I like the heft of these all-metal pens. I also have a Kaweco Steel Sport. These are a few millimeters longer, as I say, but I like all of them.

I finally decided to buy the Brass one earlier this month after knowing about it for almost four years. Mine came branded as Delike Alpha Brass with a War and Peace engraving, a better converter with a piston know and a clip that's more flexible. Since EF is right in my comfort zone, I may want to add the chrome ones. Do you still have a link?

I got one in copper for 8 USD from my pen guy. However mine comes with a smooth “German” nib. Writes super smooth, European Medium. Can’t really complain at that price.

I understand the kaweco supra is uncomfortably huge for most people. Would probably fit your hands perfectly. The fireblue one is gorgeous.
@beautybug18312 жыл бұрын
Actually, you can customize the Supra to your needs & to the size of your hand (palm). That's the Supra's whole gimmic! It's chunkies, but as for its length, you have TWO options - POCKET size and REGULAR (FULL) size

Is it a counterfeit? It does not have Kaweco branding at all. It is a design 'rip-off' but certainly not anywhere near to be exactly like the Sport. I have two of these to carry around without worry of losing. It writes amazingly well. I actually 'strop' my nibs on an old leather belt with polishing compound (like stropping a knife). I have no idea if this is a good idea, but it seems to make my nibs glassy smooth. The only problem I had with these pens was the converters are horrible and broke almost immediately. I had to purchase replacements from e-bay which increased the price a bit. Plus, the glue gave out on one pen that kept the plastic section inside the metal part. A drop of Crazy Glue solved that problem. Best pen to give to friends to introduce them to fountain pens.

It's a fake designed to fool people, and to make money from someone else's property and hard work. It takes food out of the mouth of honest people, thanks to unscrpulous no acoounts who care only about their own wants and needs.

So your saying it is an Iraurita brand fountain pen?

I have no idea what the actual brand is, but that's how it shows up on Aliexpress. Check the video description for info

I bought a couple of these--they are so cheap for what you get, even the Kaweco does not come with a converter (sold separately) And a clip. Yes! mine were $4 each. What's to lose. This is the pen you hand someone in case "Oh they forgot to give it back and grows legs. Thanks for the review on this. I'm having a hard time spending alot of money on eye-candy. And a brand name that might work just as well. Dang! was hoping to maybe get a medium or broad nib in these. Thanks for the review..Doodlebud!!! 😄

I'm waiting for my Kaweco to arrive in a few days, but maybe I'll order the "so called, ugle sister" just for comparison purposes (I'm way too curious... 😁) Oh, and I saw a few stores are carring a Liliput knock offs... It's even smaller & def MUCH more slim than the sport, but once posted, they're about the same size. Recommended for use only for small-handed ppl 😉 #NextOnMyList 😂

I find your review of this knockoff pen rather interesting. But, I just cant make myself to order a knockoff, especially a product that is manufactured in the Peoples Republic of China.

I got one kaweco brass sport too. But the color is getting darker due to oxidation... People said its call patina. But, mine seem getting darker... How to clean it?
@Doodlebud3 жыл бұрын
That is a natural process of the brass, and it will happen again each time its cleaned. If you want to remove the patina there are several ways. I would avoid chemical Cleaners though. Start with the most basic. Warm water & soap & a microfiber cloth can work. Lemon juice & baking soada works as well. I've heard some use toothpaste & even catchup, but haven't done those myself.
@michelletulumello6613 жыл бұрын
Most stores sell some kind of copper/brass polish. I would think those would work. If you want to stop the patina you could probably try some sort of clear lacquer spray, like Krylon Crystal Clear.
