Kawhi Leonard - 2015 & 2016 NBA Defensive Player of the Year

After breaking out into the league spotlight with his 2014 NBA Finals MVP, Kawhi Leonard began to assert himself as one of the premier players on both ends of the floor as he garnered back-to-back NBA Defensive player of the Year awards in 2015 and 2016.
Across those two seasons, Leonard averaged 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game, including a league-leading 2.3 steals a game in 2014-15.

Prime Kawhi before the quad injuries was an absolute monster on both ends each night of the season. It is such a shame that the speculated degenerative injury that he has, ultimately has cost him a decade-long prime of being arguably the best player in the game.

Glad you liked it man! Probably going to be a drop in Kawhi stuff from here on in as I focus on other award winners and season leaders, but he is such an effortless player to watch that it makes for quite easy viewing and doesn't ever feel like you are watching a long video. Hopefully we see a few more good runs out of him before he calls time on his career.

Glad you enjoyed it! Kawhi back then was so effortless in his play. Really built a solid foundation to be the man in the league but he has never been the same player since his ankle injury in the 2017 playoffs.
