so this is it guys, this is the end of the ride. i’ve watched this movie and cried everything i had in my body. i want to edit with this more and more, there are certain scenes that touched me deeply and i want to make them justice with some videos. i just am not totally in the mood to edit at the moment, i have to be honest i don’t think this edit is decent, not at all. i wanted to try hard for my babies cause i’ve been waiting for these scenes for so long, my editor heart cries because most of the scenes were reused so there’s nothing much new that i could have used in the edit, but the quotes? chef kiss
i just wanna say i would have never thought of editing with this song, i think it is their song and i don’t think i’ve done it justice, i feel ashamed of it, but i really thought it was finally the time to use it once and for all?
i love them so much your honour, what can i say. they totally ruined my life (joking)
evangelion will always have a special place in my heart and im thankful for this series to even exist !!!!!
i promise i’ll be back with a better one in the future, just wait for me

Shame they didn't say 'I love you' on the last movie but hey now that it's confirmed canon that evangelion is time looping and Shinji remembers everything they didn't have to verbally said it anymore, they loves each other and it's canon. ALSO mind you that when Shinji sent Kaworu off to the new world they didn't say goodbye, because they know no matter what they'll always bound by fate and meet each other And funfact I found on reddit 'thrice upon a time' the tittle of the last movie is a direct reference to a literature by the same name that have a message of love and destiny 'No matter how significantly the timeline is reset, Murdoch invariably ends up meeting and falling in love with Anne.' This implies love that transcends even time, and that they're naturally destined for each other. SO HAHAH KAWOSHIN HELLA CANON JUST HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT

I was waiting so long to finally see the last movie of Evangelion and I finally did today. It was much longer than I thought it would so I'm really greatful for that as it is the last we'll ever see something new. The scenery was wonderful and beautiful, the music was good too and I really loved how at the end they just put Hikaru Utada songs from the previous Evangelion movies. I even cried a couple of times, because it just reminded me of the past episodes and movies, then when I saw the last scene and how it was ending I cried even more knowing that it is finally ending and Ikaru grew up and seemed actually happy and smiling for real. Overall, I just really loved this movie and am so glad to have finally seen it and for it to reach my expectations and beyond. And I have to thank you for making a fabulous amv of my favourite ship once again and making me tear up. Thanks :)

Sorry for my bad English but I really need to get this out of my chest. To me, this was the purest relationship in all Evangelion. They trusted each other, filling that empty void inside themselves that didn't know it existed until they knew each other. For me, their love was real, something so beautiful, spectacular and yet so quickly to vanish, exactly what that world corrupted by the selfishness of humankind desired. It was so heart breaking for me, as a mere spectator of the show, watching their sad faces, how their expressions in 3.0 reflected such amount of pain. The feeling was so inmense I run out of breath as Kaworu said goodbye to shinji, in his own kind way, just like him. Finally, in 3.0+1.0, they finally reunited again, but, in this universe, they may not be together. And thats what's more painful for me, and my throat hurts, as if someone is grabbing it with a brutal force, not realizing I was crying watching Shinji as a kid standing upon Kaworu at the beach, where they first met, that nostalgic sunset and orange sea surrounding them. Thanks Evangelion for showing me this beautiful relationship, I will never forget it.

I just finished watching the movie and I feel so sad and empty, but yet, so happy and satisfied at the same time. It's finally over huh? we waited so long for this movie and now it's here right in front of us, feels like a fever dream to me. I watched the whole thing still not believing myself but also was so caught up into the movie. Shinji's struggles always feel so real to me, so human. His development thoughout the whole movie was really astonishing too, while the OG main premise was on poor communication and how we hurt each other (reflexes on Anno's poor mental health at the time), 3.0+1.01 focused on trying to reach out, talk things out and overcoming our insecurities and fear. Shinji's talk with everyone at the end of the movie was so touching. His exchange with Kaworu and how they said their goodbyes was so bittersweet but still full of love. Kaworu loves Shinji unconditionally so he's fine with being afar this time and only watch as Shinji finally finds happiness in a world without timeloops, without evas. Even not being together, they'll always meet one another again. Your edit is so beautiful and ofc you've done justice to it!!! the whole scene selection from 1:32 to 1:50 is so gorgeous and reflect perfectly their whole dynamic :,) can't wait to see more of your lovely kawoshin edits

I just binged all the rebuild movies in a row for the first time as a tribute to evangelion finally ending. Shinji and kaworu manage to have such a touching relationship in both the orginal and the rebuilds and I honestly think this edit did it more than enough justice. Finally got down to watching this. I’ve long accepted whatever ship they decided to go with in the end before the movie, but Kawoshin will forever be my top ship. The only true OTP I will ever have. It was so beautiful to have Shinji just… Give back a little to him in the end. I’ve read a few doujins with this concept and to see it actually happen was so heartwarming 😭 This is just as beautiful and gave me the exact feelings as the movie: I’m sad to see it end, but there’s a comfort in knowing it at least existed for you to enjoy :,) Thank you so much for making this, it almost felt nostalgic going through their scenes/journey together again 💙❤️

I love you for making this. ♥ I've watched the movie just yesterday and I can say that if it was a few years ago, I'd be disappointed with the ending?? but since I've matured since my first watch of eva and grew as a person, I came to love this ending so much. I've cried like a little kid at the second half of the movie. I was so happy to see Anno finally convey what he wanted to with its series. That it's okay to move on after bad times and we shouldn't isolate ourselves. Oh boys, this is making me so emotional. Thank you for always delivering eva content and I think, finally, since all of the rebuilds are there, maybe I'll be ready to edit something of my own with this series. Though, I could never make its justice. Once again, thank you, Kibina. Amazing edit. Made me feel really bittersweet. ♥

I'm probably one of the few people here who haven't watched evangelion, I gotta say I kinda have some understanding of the story cuz I have watched some summary vids out of curiosity but I haven't watched the anime yet cuz I'm pretty young and haven't gotten time to see these classic older animes yet. But god, this edit made me so emotional like it made me cry as if I personally know these characters damn and the amount of love I felt towards kaworu when I saw him be there for Shinji is just wow. I need that please.😭 And apparently the last movie for this was released recently as well (I'm seriously late lol) I think I'm actually gonna watch the evangelion movies after my exams are done cuz it seems pretty interesting. (And extremely heart breaking)

Well, Mari being there doesn't really has to affect your dream. See, they were just together, that doesn't makes them a 100% confirmed couple. The ending is ambiguous, precisely for the fans to live happily with whatever we think happened after the final scene (you can ship anyone, or no-one), it's a whole new world for them, with so many possibilities. They can meet once again and be happy. And we can move on and be happy in this world :)

0:22 This scene always struck me as strange. He's talking about suffering from a human perspective, as though he's on the outside looking in. Kaworu is using impersonal language towards Shinji, which suggests that Kaworu is a demi-god who has incarnated into a human being (foreshadowing). Kaworu stands up, and he literally looks down on Shinji, so his little speech about Shinji being delicate like glass can seem a little condescending, depending on who you are. The phrase "You have my regard for it" can sometimes be translated to "You're worthy of my grace/affection", so I think Hideaki Anno wanted Kaworu to be a Jesus Christ figure. I'm a Kawoshin shipper, but this scene is less romantic compared to the Rebuild version of Kaworu, who said, "Only because I'm always thinking about you ♡," with a dreamy look in his eyes. What are your thoughts? Personally, I think Kaworu genuinely loves Shinji, but his social skills are stunted in this timeline (since he's an alien among humans). I would say that *Rebuild* Kaworu has fully integrated into human society, and his social skills are polished to perfection in 'You Can (Not) Redo'.
